⭐ Tᕼᕮ STOᖇY ᗷᕮᕼIᑎᗪ ᗷᗩᑎKSY
✴On his way to becoming an international icon, the subversive and secretive street artist turned the art world upside-down. Then Time Magazine selected the British Artist Banksy graffiti master, painter, activist, filmmaker and all-purpose provocateur for its list of the world’s 100 most influential people in 2010. He found himself in the company of Barack Obama, Steve Jobs and Lady Gaga. He supplied a picture of himself with a paper bag -recyclable, naturally- over his head. Most of his fans don’t really want to know who he is and have loudly protested attempts to unmask him.

✴This summer, Banksy fans can take their hunt for his artwork off of the streets and into a Mayfair townhouse. Lazinc Gallery in Mayfair, London is set to open Banksy, Greatest Hits.

✴This will be the first UK exhibition which allows visitors to see Banksy’s work all in one place from stenciled canvases, to unique paintings, to limited-edition prints and many more. The unique collection will reaffirm how relevant the anonymous artist’s social and political comments are in today’s world, whilst letting art enthusiasts view works they may have never known existed.

✴ A touching tale of a girl and her father and the connection they form over the course of a lovely afternoon...Oh, and did I mention that they are both flesh-eating zombies?..Unexpectedly reunited with his daughter amongst the ruins of the world as they knew it, a father is determined to make this day special, even if they are already dead.

✴In the short’s mere nine minute run-time, the filmmakers are able to draw out an amazing amount of emotion. Almost instantly I cared for the two lead zombies; this is a true testament to both the amazing filmmaking on display here and the fantastic acting from both Hazel Gibson and Garth Maunders. Even without dialogue the pair are able to convince the audience of their past relationship as father and daughter; this is achieved through their excellent expressions and movements.

✴Arlo Alone is a futuristic drama that follows Arlo, a young woman, as she comes to terms with her own loneliness in a world where in-person contact has become a rarity...Arlo became a sort of cautionary tale of where we could be headed in a world dictated more and more by technology.

✴I think we can all see ourselves in Arlo. Yes the film is set in 2060, but what she experiences is very real for a lot of people. It almost sounds silly, but loneliness is a current epidemic experienced by millions. So I think an audience can watch and feel a sort of comfort in Arlo’s story, knowing they are not alone in their feelings of isolation- that we all want some kind of connection to others...But in the end she finds what she’s been missing - human face-to-face interaction.....➤ vimeo.com/channels/staffpicks/27...

Packed with slapstick humour and brilliantly cartoonish character animation, the short manages to pack in more slip-ups in three minutes than you’d usually find in a full length-feature – Darrel’s advances not only fall flat romance-wise but also manage to result in the probable death of the object of his affection, as the end of the short sees things take a hilariously dark turn thanks to a fly that refuses to be eaten…

Top Secret in many ways adheres to the military nature of Basel drumming, but differs in many respects. Its drummers play at a much faster rate. Also, while traditional Basel drumming is somber and favors traditional marching tunes. Top Secret's drumming style is upbeat and playful. Segments of their routines feature a rhumba, a drummer's duel, drumstick juggling, exploding flagpoles, and other crowd-pleasing details.
