@YgraineDance I'm so old . . . I've actually dialed a rotary phone while listening to an 8-track tape;
standing next to a UHF black and white tv with aluminum foil on it's rabbit ears.
I once had a car with a tube radio that need time to warm up.

🔸This story tells of two friends who were walking through the desert. At some point in the journey they had an argument, and one friend slapped the other one in the face. The one who got slapped was hurt, but without saying anything, wrote in the sand: "TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SLAPPED ME IN THE FACE." They kept on walking until they found an oasis, where they decided to take a bath. The one, who had been slapped, got stuck in the mire and started drowning, but the friend saved him. After the friend recovered from nearly drowning, he wrote on a stone: "TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SAVED MY LIFE."

🔸I went to see a friend today, A friend I had not seen Since he was in his twenties And I was still a teen, We were both inseparable then, See one you’d see the other Sharing everything we did, He was like a brother, But as so often happens, Too soon there came the day, When he decided to remain And I to move away, We wished each other good luck,Recalled good times we’d shared, Said that we would keep in touch See how each other fared, But of course that didn’t happen The days just came and went, No phone calls were ever made No greetings ever sent, How quickly the time passes And friendships start to dim, Although we went our separate ways I often thought of him, I wondered how he looked today How he had weathered life Did he still live in our old home town,Did he ever take a wife, One day I got a letter, And when I looked inside I read I regret to inform you That your friend has died..*I went to see a friend today As I’ve often said I would, To visit for a little while My promise to make good, I wish that I could tell him How bad I feel that I Never took the time to say hello Before I had to say goodbye.

Friendships are precious. Be sure to take some time to visit the people that are special in your life.

A knight was about to leave to fight in the Holy Crusades, but before leaving he made his wife put on a chastity belt.
After tightly securing it to her, he handed the key to his best friend with the instruction, "If I do not return within seven years, unlock my wife and set her free to lead a normal life."
The knight then rode off on the first leg of his journey to the Holy Land, but he had only traveled barely a short way when he was suddenly aware of the sound of pounding hooves behind him.
He turned to see that it was his best friend.
"What's the problem?" asked the knight.
His best friend replied, "It's the wrong key."

★Perfect sense for children
In a Catholic school cafeteria, a nun places a note in front of a bowl of apples, saying: “Only take one. God is watching.” Further down the line is a pile of cookies. A little boy makes his own note: “Take all you want. God is watching the apples."

★A wife complains to her husband: “Just look at that couple down the road, how lovely they are. He keeps holding her hand, kissing her, holding the door for her, why can’t you do the same?”..The husband: “Are you mad? I barely know that woman!”

★The DNA Test
After 3 years, a wife starts to think that their child looks different, so she decides to do a DNA test. She finds out that the child is actually from completely different parents.
Wife: "Honey, I have something very serious to tell you."

★ID ten T error
I was having trouble with my computer. So I called David, the 11 year old next door whose bedroom looks like Mission Control, and asked him to come over.
David clicked a couple of buttons and solved the problem.
As he was walking away, I called after him, "So, what was wrong?"
He replied, "It was an ID ten T error."
I didn't want to appear stupid, but nonetheless inquired, "An ID Ten T error?
What's that? In case I need to fix it again."
David grinned, "Haven't you ever heard of an ID ten T error before?"
"No", I replied.
"Write it down," he said, "and I think you'll figure it out."
So I wrote down: I D 1 0 T
I used to like that little boy.

IᑎSᑭIᖇᗩTIOᑎᗩᒪ ᒪIᖴᕮ STOᖇIᕮS.....................★ᗷᑌIᒪᗪIᑎG YOᑌᖇ ᕼOᑌSᕮ

An elderly carpenter was ready to retire. He told his employer-contractor of his plans to leave the house-building business to live a more leisurely life with his wife and enjoy his extended family. He would miss the paycheck each week, but he wanted to retire. They could get by. The contractor was sorry to see his good worker go & asked if he could build just one more house as a personal favor. The carpenter said yes, but over time it was easy to see that his heart was not in his work. He resorted to shoddy workmanship and used inferior materials. It was an unfortunate way to end a dedicated career. When the carpenter finished his work, his employer came to inspect the house. Then he handed the front-door key to the carpenter and said, “This is your house… my gift to you.”The carpenter was shocked! What a shame! If he had only known he was building his own house, he would have done it all so differently. So it is with us. We build our lives, a day at a time, often putting less than our best into the building. Then, with a shock, we realize we have to live in the house we have built. If we could do it over, we would do it much differently. But, you cannot go back. You are the carpenter, and every day you hammer a nail, place a board, or erect a wall. Someone once said, “Life is a do-it-yourself project.” Your attitude, and the choices you make today, help build the “house” you will live in tomorrow.
