@⋆☆Danielle☆⋆ Apologies. I stumbled onto a cache of old sexploitation/nunsploitation/lezsploitation/nazisploitation/ giallo movies, and they seemed to fit in with a lot of the stuff already in the database here. (In fact, most of the movies I'm finding on that list are already listed on this site; I'm just adding links.)
In any case, almost done, I'll be on to my next quest soon--pre-Hays Code Hollywood dramas, classic horror or swashbuckler films, or some other classic movies.
For the next week or so, though, you might want to avoid anything I post; I don't actually pre-screen these movies, so no telling what's in there.
Thanks for the heads-up in any case.
On a lighter note, the missus and I truly enjoyed our visit to your country; absolutely amazing time and the best part of our "Pacific Tour" vacation. Memories for a lifetime.

@TRCIII I just find they are offensive and quite degrading, so why support the cause and keep refreshing the links, and maybe don't put any up that you wouldn't watch with your wife, kids et. As a women that enjoys this site I hate to see it polluted with disturbing photographic sh*t, and the type of people it attracts, it's not pornhub. But each to there own. I'm sorry for the name calling, that was just rude of me & totally unnecessary. I'm pleased you enjoyed your travels to NZ, it is a pretty special place. Traveling to America is still my number 1 on my bucket list, one day soon, I hope. Take care.

@⋆☆Danielle☆⋆ I understand where you're coming from, and no offense taken. (Pretty thick-skinned old bastard, here.) smiley
But, basically, I look at this site as a database, nothing more, in exactly the same way IMDB is a catalog of movies...except with links to other locations that host the content you're looking at, so you could view it immediately if you've a mind to do so. My ultimate goal is that one day, anything you can find on IMDB, you could also find here...good, bad or "offensive".
Also, I don't feel it's my job to censor (in fact, I'm very much ANTI-censorship, in all forms) and think an art form (like movies) has a job to regularly offend someone or it's not doing its job and testing its limits. Movies are a reflection of all human experience, or because it can be more than exists in "real life", it can be an idealization of it...and sometimes, it reflects our fears of the worst of what we can sink to as a species.

@Sighlass Glad to hear it. Any favorite actors/actresses, specific genres? I love a project! As I was explaining to Eraserhead below, I go on these "quests" to find specific things, and if I happen across some items that aren't already in the two-movies database, or this site doesn't have any "free" links, I add them, while I'm adding the links to my own personal collection.
But I'd be out there hunting these movies even if I weren't an occasional contributor to this site.
And my apologies if you're not enjoying the current genre I'm bingeing on, but probably in another week, I'll be off on a different kick. smiley

@TRCIII Wish I could, an example of my humor I guess would be the old "The Thin Man" series of movies. I enjoy intelligent characters that don't follow the "Dumb and Dumber" scenario. I like a few Film Noir movies, but mostly just well thought out movies with heart (and good guys wear white hats)... Being as the movies were before my time, I often just YouTube trailer of movies I don't know and watch the ones that seem interesting. I have a list of movies but only share it on my wall with friends (and being I am a political bug I don't have many friends cause I don't want to offend folks needlessly).

@Sighlass Ah, Thin Man. Witty repartee, good acting and excellent chemistry between the two main folks.
"It Happened One Night" with Colbert and Gable?
They don't make them like that anymore.

@eraserhead11 If there's something specific you're looking for, let me know, I'll see what I can find, or I can drop a hint in some other poster's ear. There are dozens of people on here who post links, and almost all of the others post links to the more recent releases. Stewie, Simonseyz, loqman...they're all posting new links every day to the newer items, and I just don't have access to their sources.
On the other hand, I'm going through a 'phase' where I'm collecting (for later personal enjoyment and laughs) older giallo / horror / sexploitation 'classics', and while I'm grabbing them, I'm taking a few extra moments to post the links I find to this site in case there are other fans, particularly if those movies are not already a part of the database here.
If you're not looking for any of those, my apologies, but please just ignore my posts for a while. ...

@eraserhead11 Ohhhhh! I think I understand, now. I had no idea why you'd care that I was posting older links. I just saw your post on the chat; you thought I was doing this for points! Every now and again someone mentions something about points, but I have no idea what that's about, nor how (or why) people accrue them. Someone tried to explain it to me once, but nothing really made sense to me. Do they great a free set of steak knives or something? Is there some extra bonus access you get? I don't know, and since I'm never going to be a 'contender', don't care.
In any case, I post those links because this is a movie database--like IMDB, but with links--and I get a lot of benefit from the site, so I feel like it's the least I can do to give something back (TANSTAAFL). That is, so long as I don't have to go too far out of my way to do it, and really, while I'm already hunting down these older movies, it's really very little extra trouble. So, I'm just posting because that's how you grow a database...by adding new entries and fresh links where there are none, or they're very old.

@eraserhead11 Dr. Evil did 'pop in' on me one day, when I had reported some bad links (scared the crap out of me, thought I'd done something wrong and was about to banned).
He made it sound as if the links were more of a pain in the butt for them than an asset some times, especially because of the maintenance burden they incurred. I don't normally have many links to contribute--like I mentioned, I'm doing this as a by-product of another project I'm working for myself--so, eventually, I promise the links for this genre will slow drastically or stop, and I'll be back to my usual couple of times a month link additions--usually for classic movies.
(A couple of months ago, I went on a Debbie Reynolds kick. Three weeks ago, it was Streep, but just about every Streep movie was already in here, so I think maybe only one or two links got added that week.) smiley

The 1920's Radio Flyer Wagon

A 16-year-old Italian boy named Antonio Pasin was one of the millions who immigrated to America from Europe at the start of the 20th century. A skilled carpenter, Pasin headed to Chicago and began building little red wagons out of stamped metal. By 1923, he had saved enough money to create the Liberty Coaster Company, and he began mass-producing the wagon for just under $3. He named it the Radio Flyer in homage to two of his favorite inventions of the time, the radio and the airplane.

Continued Growth After the War
At home, Radio Steel’s war efforts sparked newfound confidence in their line of products. Advertisements began to highlight the classic strength, durability, and dependability of the Radio Line wagons. A new bearing for the wheels, called -Congo- bearings — guaranteed for 1000 miles of smooth, quiet riding – gained special attention for its longevity.

@TRCIII yes, I love tea and coffee- you are correct :) My favorite is green tea and Kombucha, Chai tea is great too. @cuppatea☕️ I used to actually do horoscopes and natal charts, back in the old days before computers made it easy and you actually had to deal with sidereal tables and the whole mess. I was also doing Tarot, and I Ching and a few other things, and my friends and I would have some incredibly interesting evenings, asking questions of the various systems.
But then I started noticing that some people tended to take those things very seriously--especially the Tarot--actually making far-reaching life decisions based on the readings I was giving.
I stopped all of it, immediately; I didn't want to be responsible for someone potentially ruining their lives based on something I was telling them from a card reading or even worse, a potentially erroneous astrological chart where I misread a table after a couple of glasses of wine.
Having said all that, I find I am (astrologically speaking) a blend of Sagittarius and Scorpio, and since I was born near the cusp, and Scorpio is my rising sign--and my mom says I was delivered later than I should have been :) --it seems to fit.

...1932 Indian Chief
The Chief was introduced as Indian’s heavyweight competitor to Harley-Davidson and lasted for 31 years. In 1922, 21 years after the company began building bikes, Indian launched the Chief with a 61 cubic inch flathead V-twin. Although a larger 74 cubic inch bike, called the Big Chief, was an option.

Indian remained faithful to the principle of a flathead, and in doing so escaped some of the pitfalls that Harley-Davidson encountered in their efforts with overhead valve designs.

The Indian was actually rather unconventional, with its left-hand twist grip (apparently so that policemen would be able to use their pistols with their right hand), a foot clutch, hand shift and the ignition advance controlled by the right handlebar grip. A 3-speed gearbox was standard, but a *Police Package 4-speed gearbox and a reverse gear were options.

1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429 Fastback
*The Boss 429 also known as the "Boss" by enthusiasts is arguably one of the rarest and most valued muscle cars from the era. In total there were 1358 original Boss 429s made. For a two year run,1969 & 1970. The origin of the Boss 429 came about as Ford was seeking to develop a Hemi engine that could compete with the famed 426 Hemi from Chrysler..Boss Delivered Well Over 500 Horsepower.

🔹The Boss 429 engine was derived from the Ford 385 engine. It used four-bolt mains, a forged steel crank and forged steel connecting rods. The engine featured aluminum cylinder heads, with a modified Hemi type combustion chamber which Ford called "crescent". These heads used the "dry-deck" method, meaning no head gaskets were used. Each cylinder, oil passage and water passage had an individual "O" ring style seal to seal it tight. The Boss 429 engine used a single Holley 4-barrel carburetor rated at 735 CFM mounted on an aluminum intake manifold that flowed well for its time.

Rancher John

The Montana Wage and Hour Department claimed he was not paying proper wages to his workers and sent an agent out to interview him....I need a list of your employees and how much you pay them,'demanded the agent. The cook has been here for 18 months, and I pay her $500 a week plus free room and board. Then there's the half-wit who works about 18 hours every day and does about 90% of all the work around here. Famous & Inspiring Photography.............*Austrian Boy and his Shoes
The picture moves you to happy tears the moment you see it. The gentle curve of the child’s cheeks make you think that the innocence of infancy remains a permanent guest. The happiness is palpable, a pair of chubby little fingers clutch a pair of shoes to the chest of the little boy. Six-year-old Austrian boy, Werfel, was photographed when he got a new pair of shoes at the Am Himmel orphanage, donated to him.The photograph was first published in LIFE magazine on December 30, 1946 and later, again, on September 24, 1951 and was titled “New Shoes”.

The picture is a beautiful effort in capturing the quintessence of childlike happiness. The abandon that children feel and profess, enjoying happiness in the littlest of things, in a life that an adult might otherwise be quick to profess as being filled with misery. The child’s ability to enjoy and cherish what has just been given to him, notwithstanding the fact that he lives in an orphanage, notwithstanding the historical events that had just unfolded snatching his comfortable life away from him, notwithstanding the fact that, that he doesn't understand were his parents are ...Reminds you how flawed our thinking is, to look at the negatives and focus on them. The expression of absolute purity in happiness is reminiscent of how beautiful life is – and wakes you up to straighten your own thinking when life strikes you down on occasion.

.. The 1927 Duesenberg Model X Dual-Cowl Phaeton
★The Model X was introduced in 1926 as a comprehensively reengineered and improved model based on the Model A. It featured a new chassis, a redesigned engine, and a new front suspension arrangement to lower the center of gravity.

★The Duesenberg Model X offered a significant step up in performance over the outgoing Model A, the comprehensively reworked 260 cu. in., overhead cam, straight-8 engine was fitted with a new crankshaft, a new valve train, different pistons, and a revised intake. Power climbed from 88 hp to 100 hp, and the car was capable of topping out at 100 mph.

★The Great Depression killed Duesenberg in 1937 along with many other automakers in the US and Europe. The surviving Duesenbergs are now individually known to collectors and enthusiasts. Every now and then a new Duesenberg “barn find” is uncovered, sending a tsunami of excitement across the classic car world – like in the early 2000s when Jay Leno discovered and bought a remarkably well preserved Model X.
