◆ Recuenco was born in Madrid Spain........*During the first steps of his career, being attracted as well by photography, he specializes in large format paintings in which he included pictures of his own. However, in his own words: As I could not find a public interested in four-metres-wide canvases, I focused on photography. Then he begins collaboration with the main Spanish and International fashion magazines Vogue Spain, Madame Figaro, Wad, Vogue, Spoon, Planet, Vanity Fair, Stern, Kult, Twill, GQ, Marie Claire,Vogue UK, Zink, Nina Ricci, Diesel and Yves Saint Laurent. I was laying on my bed relaxing after a long day. Music was playing in the background and I was taking the time to read a good book. Just as I turned the page an old song started playing that always reminded me of my Mom. I put the book down and listened. Even though it had been 23 years since cancer had taken her from us, sometimes it still felt like it was only yesterday. I closed my eyes and allowed the flood of memories to wash over me. I thought of Mom’s sparkling eyes and shining smile which lived on in the faces of my own children. I thought of her sweet voice and gentle laugh that never failed to lift my spirits. I thought of how she brightened up every room she walked into. I thought of how she was a friend to everyone she met and how her kindness touched the hearts of so many. I thought of how she made this world a better place just by being in it. And my heart ached as I thought of how I still missed her so much. I wiped the tears from my cheeks as the song finished, looked out my window at the night sky, and sent an "I love you, Mom" from my lips to Heaven’s ear. Now some people would ask why I didn't shut the music off the second that song came on. Why did I subject myself to the pain it brought? I think the answer is that sometimes you have to let in a little hurt in order to let in a lot of love. Sometimes you have to open your heart in order to truly live. Life here will always be a mix of the bitter and the sweet, but you can’t shut down your soul. At times you have to embrace the pain and then let it go. When you do you will find that what is left is love. May you always keep your heart open to love. May you always keep your heart open to messages from Heaven. They can come at the strangest times on the winds of a memory or the wings of a song.

The two gentlemen were talking, and one says, Last night we went out to a new restaurant and it was really great. I would recommend it very highly. The other man asks,What is the name of the restaurant? The first man thinks and thinks and finally asks, What is the name of that flower you give to someone you love? You know... The one that's red and has thorns....Do you mean a rose?...Yes, that's the one, replied the man. He then turns towards the kitchen and yells, Rose, what's the name of that restaurant we went to last night?

Rancher John
★Old ranch owner John farmed a small ranch in Montana. The Montana Wage and Hour Department claimed he was not paying proper wages to his workers and sent an agent out to interview him....I need a list of your employees and how much you pay them,'demanded the agent. Well, replied old John, 'There's my ranch hand who's been with me for 3 years. I pay him $600 a week plus free room and board. The cook has been here for 18 months, and I pay her $500 a week plus free room and board. Then there's the half-wit who works about 18 hours every day and does about 90% of all the work around here. He makes about $25 per week, pays his own room and board and I buy him a bottle of bourbon every Saturday night.That's the guy I want to talk to, the half-wit, says the agent. That would be me, replied old rancher John.

The picture moves you to happy tears the moment you see it. The gentle curve of the child’s cheeks make you think that the innocence of infancy remains a permanent guest. The happiness is palpable, a pair of chubby little fingers clutch a pair of shoes to the chest of the little boy. Six-year-old Austrian boy, Werfel, was photographed when he got a new pair of shoes at the Am Himmel orphanage, donated to him.The photograph was first published in LIFE magazine on December 30, 1946 and later, again, on September 24, 1951 and was titled “New Shoes”.

The picture is a beautiful effort in capturing the quintessence of childlike happiness. A minister determined a visual demonstration would add emphasis to his Sunday sermon. For this demonstration, he watered his lawn in the evening, then when night time approached, visited his back yard with flashlight in hand. He carefully selected four worms, night-crawlers to be exact. The Four Worms were Placed into Four Separate Jars
The FIRST WORM was put into a container of alcohol.
The SECOND WORM was put into a container of cigarette smoke.
The THIRD WORM was put into a container of chocolate.
The FOURTH WORM was put into a container of good clean soil.
At the conclusion of the sermon, the Minister reported the following results:
The FIRST WORM in the jar with alcohol - was DEAD.
The SECOND WORM in the jar with cigarette smoke - was DEAD.
The THIRD WORM in the jar with chocolate - was DEAD.
The FOURTH WORM in the jar of good clean soil - was ALIVE!
... So the Minister Asked the Congregation:
What can you learn from this demonstration?
From the back of the church, came the response:
"As long as you drink, smoke and eat chocolate, you won't have worms!"
