The 1960 Porsche 356 RSR From *Emory Motorsports
Rod Emory is a legend in the Porsche game, so when he's got a new build, you know it's going to be worthy of an in-depth look. His 356 RSR is no exception to the rule

Combining a 1960 Porsche 356B T5 with a 1990 Porsche 964 C2 is no easy task. For one, the wheelbases are different. But for Emory Motorsports, the challenge was minimal considering the team has experience imitating Dr. Frankenstein. Together, the two are now the 1960 Porsche 356 RSR, a hot rod Porsche with menacing looks and insane performance.

The car is an exquisite example of craftsmanship. The nose and tail bodywork, aluminum deck lid, and one-piece aluminum hood are all hand-formed with the deck lid featuring custom stainless hinges. Added features include the added louvers, stainless steel mesh grille, and intercooler inserts in the steel section of the rear fenders. The rocker panels are modified Porsche 911 pieces while the side and quarter windows are Plexiglass.

The 1920's Radio Flyer Wagon

A 16-year-old Italian boy named Antonio Pasin was one of the millions who immigrated to America from Europe at the start of the 20th century. A skilled carpenter, Pasin headed to Chicago and began building little red wagons out of stamped metal. By 1923, he had saved enough money to create the Liberty Coaster Company, and he began mass-producing the wagon for just under $3. He named it the Radio Flyer in homage to two of his favorite inventions of the time, the radio and the airplane.

Continued Growth After the War
At home, Radio Steel’s war efforts sparked newfound confidence in their line of products. Advertisements began to highlight the classic strength, durability, and dependability of the Radio Line wagons. A new bearing for the wheels, called -Congo- bearings — guaranteed for 1000 miles of smooth, quiet riding – gained special attention for its longevity.

...1932 Indian Chief
The Chief was introduced as Indian’s heavyweight competitor to Harley-Davidson and lasted for 31 years. In 1922, 21 years after the company began building bikes, Indian launched the Chief with a 61 cubic inch flathead V-twin. Although a larger 74 cubic inch bike, called the Big Chief, was an option.

Indian remained faithful to the principle of a flathead, and in doing so escaped some of the pitfalls that Harley-Davidson encountered in their efforts with overhead valve designs.

The Indian was actually rather unconventional, with its left-hand twist grip (apparently so that policemen would be able to use their pistols with their right hand), a foot clutch, hand shift and the ignition advance controlled by the right handlebar grip. A 3-speed gearbox was standard, but a *Police Package 4-speed gearbox and a reverse gear were options.

1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429 Fastback
*The Boss 429 also known as the "Boss" by enthusiasts is arguably one of the rarest and most valued muscle cars from the era. In total there were 1358 original Boss 429s made. For a two year run,1969 & 1970. The origin of the Boss 429 came about as Ford was seeking to develop a Hemi engine that could compete with the famed 426 Hemi from Chrysler..Boss Delivered Well Over 500 Horsepower.

🔹The Boss 429 engine was derived from the Ford 385 engine. It used four-bolt mains, a forged steel crank and forged steel connecting rods. The engine featured aluminum cylinder heads, with a modified Hemi type combustion chamber which Ford called "crescent". These heads used the "dry-deck" method, meaning no head gaskets were used. Each cylinder, oil passage and water passage had an individual "O" ring style seal to seal it tight. The Boss 429 engine used a single Holley 4-barrel carburetor rated at 735 CFM mounted on an aluminum intake manifold that flowed well for its time.

Rancher John
★Old ranch owner John farmed a small ranch in Montana. The Montana Wage and Hour Department claimed he was not paying proper wages to his workers and sent an agent out to interview him....I need a list of your employees and how much you pay them,'demanded the agent. Well, replied old John, 'There's my ranch hand who's been with me for 3 years. I pay him $600 a week plus free room and board. The cook has been here for 18 months, and I pay her $500 a week plus free room and board. Then there's the half-wit who works about 18 hours every day and does about 90% of all the work around here. He makes about $25 per week, pays his own room and board and I buy him a bottle of bourbon every Saturday night. That's the guy I want to talk to, the half-wit, says the agent. That would be me, replied old rancher John.

Famous & Inspiring Photography.............*Austrian Boy and his Shoes
The picture moves you to happy tears the moment you see it. The gentle curve of the child’s cheeks make you think that the innocence of infancy remains a permanent guest. The happiness is palpable, a pair of chubby little fingers clutch a pair of shoes to the chest of the little boy. Six-year-old Austrian boy, Werfel, was photographed when he got a new pair of shoes at the Am Himmel orphanage, donated to him.The photograph was first published in LIFE magazine on December 30, 1946 and later, again, on September 24, 1951 and was titled “New Shoes”.

The picture is a beautiful effort in capturing the quintessence of childlike happiness. The abandon that children feel and profess, enjoying happiness in the littlest of things, in a life that an adult might otherwise be quick to profess as being filled with misery. The child’s ability to enjoy and cherish what has just been given to him, notwithstanding the fact that he lives in an orphanage, notwithstanding the historical events that had just unfolded snatching his comfortable life away from him, notwithstanding the fact that, that he doesn't understand were his parents are ...Reminds you how flawed our thinking is, to look at the negatives and focus on them. The expression of absolute purity in happiness is reminiscent of how beautiful life is – and wakes you up to straighten your own thinking when life strikes you down on occasion.
