openload (2142 views, 94 replies)
They closed their affiliate program as I know. Thant's why linkers stopped uploading there.
[SPOILER]
Thought I was the only one......Vidlox has been a pretty good. Openload was my #1, so now it's Vidlox, Vidtodo and Vshare.
Openload was great, but there are other hosts that will take their place.
This isn't uncommon, however the Openload decision isn't good for linkers.
Things have gotten worse and worse for linkers and it's totally understandable why they wouldn't want to link there anymore
I use Vidlox host, as well as Vshare...at the moment.
@ They don’t have anything except tabs or the ad repeating. I didn’t realize this wa such a big money maker, lol, but no one will make money from links that don’t work. That’s a lot of uploading work for nothing.
@bondojoe Have you tried other links for the same show or film?
How was the sound when you streamed the same link?
@bondojoe What about it you try streaming the link to check the sound (vs just the download -- to check if it's the same)?
Process of elimination, is as best as I can do from here.
@bondojoe It's something with the download, yes, for sure, but what??
Sorry I cannot help you, but I'll peek around and see if I can find anything.
I don’t see how much money can be made by links that no one will use. Better to just not bother uploading or use the source we can actually make work. Openload also works best on iOS. If there are no links that work, uploaders can upload all they want, but no one will use the links that never work. So not a lot of money will be made from zero clicks on useless links, so consider that when not choosing what we obviously use most. Streamango and Streamplay.to are the ONLY other two services that work at all. The rest are pointless. They almost seem fake.
And, on my iPad, phone, etc., I never even see what the tabs that pop open have in them. I close them so fast, nothing gets a chance to load, but the other day, I experienced what people without iOS see on a regular computer and a PS4, and I wanted to put my foot through the screen. I was showing a friend the site. Four tries and 800 porn tabs later, we watched Bohemian Rhapsody, but I was terrified of pausing it and having to close tabs or start all over again, so we missed chunks of it. ...

@ditzygypsy It's not Two-Movies in relation to Openload.
They're on off-site host and they work independently from Two-Movies, as do all the hosts, and this is just a recent decision by Openload.
Have you ever tried Vidlox or Vshare?
I'll have Doc look into why your Downvote and Report buttons, if he hasn't already.
@ I know it’s not the site’s decision. I think the uploaders should know why no one uses the other ones. No, those don’t work. They just have tabs and ads and never any movie...ever, and they are fake as far as I can tell. I have tried every link and still will try when I’m really desperate for something hard to find, but you can’t make money from something that people can’t use.
@ditzygypsy Cool. I was just making sure.
I believe other members do use hosts other than Openload with success.
At least that's what members have indicated in other threads and in PMs to me.
Im not sure why they don't work for you, but I have found that my iPad won't stream a lot of hosts where as my desktop PC and my android phone will. I suspect (but I'm not certain) it's an Apple incompatibility.
The buttons not worrking for downvotes and report might be due to incompatibility well.
Do you have an android or desktop PC you can try to see if they work?
Just an idea.
@ I'm using an android tablet (Linux) and it is very fussy and only works well with openload.
@AnhedoniaNightmare Openload works well for my android, but on my desktop any over 1GB is hit and miss for streaming.
I honestly don't know.
I do suspect that another host will replace Openload. This sws to be a common occurance in host sites, so all is not lost.
I have read that linkers feel Streamango is a good replacement for Openload.
Personally, it's spotty for me and drops the stream too frequently, but it may work for you?
@AnhedoniaNightmare Keep trying then.
We're lucky to have any off site links to use for anything.
I've been at this since hosts were HOST, singular.
@ditzygypsy You could try Streamango. It's basically the same thing except for the theme. Personally I've never had issues with other hosts, though I did prefer Openload's interface. Keep in mind that openload was freaking huge. torrentfreak.com/pirate-site-ope... for some perspective. Because of this adblocking lists were very up-to-date whereas this might not always be the case with smaller hosts. This might explain why your experience with other hosts differs.
@Smuff Yes, Streamango and streamplay.to are the only ones, along with a Openload, that work. I don’t have adblockers. We don’t get viruses really, at all, on iOS, and I just flick the tabs away before anything even manifests in them when starting up a movie on Openload, so unless I wait too long, I never see any ads in the pop up windows and I close them before anything can be loaded...including the URL. The rest of the links are only repeating ads and repeated pop up windows. There is no movie. It’s ok. I just don’t use them, but I also tell everyone not to use them, especially if they have a computer. And if those really were the only links, then I just wouldn’t be using streaming. I’m very grateful for the three services that do load movies and for the people who put them there. I don’t have cable tv, but I do have paid tv service on my iPad and I subscribe to several paid services, so I would pay if this weren’t free and had the content that it does. ...

@(⌐■_■) If I had to take a guess I'd say the points you mentioned are a big part of the reason for them shutting down the reward system. Ads aren't all that profitable anymore so hosts have to cut corners somewhere to stay afloat or give up. It sucks, but it's still better than having to pay 10 different streaming services each month, IMHO. I'm sure that in time another hoster will replace Openload.
@(⌐■_■) Okay folks.... found a site that facilitates DOWNLOADING, for those with slower streaming. Woot!!
vidoza.net
So far, so good... 0.0
@ditzygypsy They're not fake (not most of them anyway) bc I use a lot of them all the time. I think it has to do with the device you're using, honestly. My kids have iOS devices and have the same problem but they work perfectly on my Windows laptop and Chromebook. This is probably bc I can use adblockers on those. I feel for you and think it sucks that openload has made this decision.
@rickgrimesrocks Yes, you’re probably right. When I used to use a laptop, I had it in the shop more than once because of my fearless clicking on links, lol. Since I’ve had mobile devices, I haven’t visited a shop, but I agree that it’s quite possibly limited my choices in services. Seeing boobs and stuff doesn’t bother me, but getting stuck there is a bit annoying. But I can see now that other people are able to use what I’ve just been afraid were deceptive links, so there probably is a connection to my choice in devices. Thank you! 😊
@ditzygypsy I actually like openload it works well for me, you just got to pick the right link and person you trust for a good copy.
@ditzygypsy Add blocker plus. Any thing that makes it through is a blank page. Never a problem
As I said generically, there are alternatives for at least Japanese and Korean films and tv.
I know a lot of people liked openload. I myself didn't care for it bc I stream and openload constantly buffers when I stream a movie on it. Clipwatching is actually my favorite, it rarely buffers and it has that neat little 10 second back button (like Netflix) that I love. I'm on a laptop though and use adblockers, which I HIGHLY recommend for anyone that is able to use them. Other than Clipwatching I use Vidlox, Streamplay, Vshare, Streamango, Vev.io, and Rapidvideo. I find all those ones work very well with rarely an ad to be found (with adblockers).
Hope this might help someone
Thanks for all replies(1 or 2 a bit off topic),guess I'll be using other hosts in future such as "streamango""streamcherry" and a couple of others I only use when desperate.
Thanks All
I do like vshare, Flix 555 and Rapidvideo...a lot! Vev.io also works well for me as does Clipwatching. Openload has always performed poorly for me (sometimes great, others not so great).
I am probably the least technical person of the bunch here, but wanted to put in my two cents worth if it is at all helpful to anyone.
@purpleplum I gave you an upvote but it didn't register so that must mean that someone else downvoted it. I can't imagine why someone would want to downvote a comment where someone is just trying to be helpful, but there are all kinds ya know...
@rickgrimesrocks Thanks! Whatever. Haters gotta hate! And so trivial...pssstttt...again, thanks for that!
@rickgrimesrocks It's all good, yeah besides the good stuff, there are some nasties here..... I upvoted it.
@rickgrimesrocks I think something's up with the 'upvotes'. I just tried to upvote Smuff and it didn't register. FYI.
@purpleplum I couldn't reply to your PM bc of your settings. I didn't want you to think I was ignoring you or something lol.
@rickgrimesrocks Thanks, RGR! I wouldn't think that of you. You seem like a nice person...
@uunboundd Thanks, Uunboundd. Sort of a pre-emptive strike eh? NBD. But it was also happening when I tried to upvote Smuff, so I'm choosing to see it as a glitch...
Can anyone suggest which sites I might be able to download from? I used Openload because my internet speed is so slow that I can't stream (yes, I live in that rural a place!)
I tried links lots of sites but everything just looks like it's for streaming. Being able to download is the only way I can watch stuff. Any suggestions?
Thanks :)
@Dr.Evil ISPs are looking for those who use torrents. That is self-sabotage.
RapidVideo is the standard for the sites doing Korean and Japanese, heck all asian tv and film (Indonesia, Taiwan, Phillipines, others). They also use uptobox.
In fact, the tv show creators entourage this to gain a larger fanbase
@eLizzie I'm not sure what kind of device you use but if you are able to get extensions or add-ons then you could probably find one that will allow you to download videos.
@eLizzie I can download from any site that streams (the ones that actually work), and I use iPad and iPhone. I use a free file manager app to access this site and watch movies. It offers it to me to download every time I press play, even if it’s just been paused, and I press play. It works perfectly.
I pretty much only used Openload because I like to download, then watch. For streaming, I have other sites I prefer to use. Without the ease of dl through here, I really have no reason to stay now. Debating with the nut jobs was sometimes fun, when I was bored, but it really wasn't much of a debate.
Adios, and thanks for all the fish.
@FemaleLotRfan83 If I could learn to be a linker I'd get openload links to the things I watch myself and post those. I don't care about the fiscal rewards or lack thereof. Alas, I'm not very tech suave. I've got an account there now, yet all I see is where to upload videos. I'm not stupid, just almost old. I suffer the liability of being self taught on the computer.
@Bread&Circuses Agreed. I have no interest in monetary gain. Instead I wish people could see wonderful older films and tv shows. This is especially true for those on Top 100 and 500 lists of artistic films...particularly foreign films.
Typically intellectuals want Art available so all may enjoy it not the wealthy. Otherwise we have devolved to a medieval model where aristocrats are patrons.
This is about the free exchange of ideas. You watch films that may upset sensibilities but to enlighten.
Great art filmmakers humanized minorities. Bad films promoted horrid even vile stereotypes like limp wristed homosexuals that have no basis in history. Or strange depictions of those from the Middle East, Asian, and Africa.
@AnhedoniaNightmare Indeed. Are you a linker, could you teach me ? I have XP. I like to download movies and some binge watch series to a thumb drive then watch on my tv. Once in a great while a show won't stream for me no way, no how, so I merely download it.
@Bread&Circuses I find it frustrating as I am older and used to be very tech savvy as a consultant but I am out of the loop in this area.
I might be like you that I know links but am puzzled by the process.
I don't have an enemy in the whole world. I help everyone...typically with few restrictions. That is Biblical. So I wish I could help here.
Ethically I have no issue with streaming. That is just like tv. How many people save mp4 files? I don't and have seen a thousand films or more.
@AnhedoniaNightmare I'll keep you in mind should I somehow gain the required skills.
@Bread&Circuses That's alright. I'm not even sure where one would get links to upload.
I still post openload links when I add movies. I don't care about rewards. I dont do it for that anyway.
@◦•●◉✿♡Momof3αηgєℓѕ♡✿◉●•◦ I’d pay you, lol. I’d pay for the site’s service if it had to charge. I pay for several others, so why not? I just can’t find everything I like in one place, so I come here to see what is available, and I’m very grateful to the site and the uploaders for whatever I can find.
The whole basis of youtube is that streaming is not theft. You do not own a physical copy. If streaming were theft, then listening to a busking musician would be theft. Every radio broadcast would be theft.
You have to understand that linkers put a lot of time and energy into uploading all of these links. I mean they submit thousands and thousands of links. They aren't like the average person that might add a link every now and then. Of course they should see some monetary gain for this. Why else would they do it? Out of the goodness of their heart? Would you spend hours and hours doing that for no gain? Sorry but I sure wouldn't and I don't expect them to either. Just saying...
The entire Biblical basis for altruism is to donate one's time, talent, and treasure with no concept of a return.
Christians don't commit acts of altruism to earn their way into Heaven. That cannot be done.
Some churches are not 501c by choice so people do not donate for a tax break.
We don't donate out of emotion as most acts of altruism do not result in thanks...whatsoever.
Pure altruism receives nothing in return.
I would bet countless acts of altruism make up the entire site.
Once upon a time when java Flash ruled, you could get programs like "Cacheview" to save the video you streamed to your hard drive. For those with slower download speeds, you could leave a movie in pause overnight and the next day save it to your computer.
Not sure why but Cacheview stopped working for me about time the HTML5 format got big. I imagine there is still programs that record what plays across your screen, but it is above me pay grade.
Thankfully I mostly watch older movies now days, so there is still Openload links to use. I guess when they dry up, so will I (and move on to private invite only forums)...
The issue with Openload for me has nothing to do with money. In fact, it always took about four months for me to reach the twenty dollar minimum, so...meh to the greedy linker thing.
For months I haven't been able to upload directly to them so I had to upload to Streamango and then use the remote upload feature in order to get them on Openload. The same day that they ended the incentives the remote upload feature stopped working so to me it is a lame duck host which probably won't be around much longer.
@dramucom Excellent points. Well said.
Those receiving the benefit of free links really shouldn't be in any way jusgy of those who provide them their free links.
I've always linked, and even used to upload, but I have never done it for money.
@dramucom Absolutely!
Even though I personally have never made any money, I completely support those who do.
In fact, I spread their links for them.
From the beginning, I found this whole industry fascinating and I was hooked.
lol
what works for me is vev.io with fvd(flash video downloader). Or with whatever other sites you guys are using.
Rerun FYI post:
This site facilitates DOWNLOADING for those with slower streaming. vidoza.net
So far, so good... 0.0
PLEASE UPLOADERS, FEED THIS SITE! xx0x0xx
@(⌐■_■) Thanks, I was looking for a host that lets you Download as well as stream. I prefer to download and watch offline.
Just so y'all know... There are several media download addons for browsers.
Have a look at your browser app store. They may take a little longer than a direct download, but beggars can't be choosers lol.
I am a download only person. Can't stream. Openload was the only source I found reliable for that option. Now there is VeryStream it allows Downloading.

newbie
I have noticed that last two days there are NO links for "Openload". Is there there a reason for this or will they return. Openload was my No/ 1 choice for videos.
Thank You
