Word chain challenge (3452 views, 451 replies)

This game is similar to our Last Letter Word Game, where each NEXT Word STARTS with the LAST Letter from the PREVIOUS Word.

Last Letter Word Game Example :

PREV = FlippeR
NEXT = Replay

THIS Challenge is to do it in ALPHABETICAL Order and within EACH Word (where possible)

Word Chain Example :

PREV Word Starts with A, Ends with B
NEXT Word Starts with B, Ends with C

STRETCH OPTION:
In the event no words can be made (such as P…Q) or at will, the Chain may be stretched by advancing the Ending Letter (P…R or P…S or P…T)
*Up to 4 Letters maximum, please*
This option extends the availability of words, avoiding repetition.

(As always, No Proper Nouns, Brand Names, Peoples Names,
hyphenations, abbreviations nor acronyms are allowed.)

REVERSIBLE DIRECTION :
To add some pizazz, the Player can reverse Direction
from Ascending (A-Z) to Descending (Z-A) and visa versa.

But ONLY When the starting Letter is A on a Player’s turn!
(1) Write “REVERSE” in capital letters
... (2) Enter the NEXT “reversed” Word

Play will continue in that direction
until changed by the next Player reaching “A”.

NOTE : This alphabet is “wrapped” :

Ascending : …xyzabc…
Descending : …cbazyx…
