Torrac,

I still remember reading The Wasp Factory (1984) purely for its original cover, and I was hooked; entranced by the setting (similar to my youth), the first person POV and the violence.

Always wondered why it wasn’t made into a film as it got lots of attention at the time being his debut novel.
