Can anyone advise why there are so very few links on streamzz.to for most things uploaded on this site. I am a fan of downloading whatever is of interest so as to watch at a later time. I have found the best site for me is the above mentioned but I am finding very few uploaders post links there as this was very popular elsewhere. I can use other links but they are not anywhere near the download speed I can get from this.I am just curious. I hope I am posting this in the correct place but please advise if it is not.

About a year back, Streamz started replacing movie files with an annoying loud loop designed to get your attention with a notice that you cannot use their site if you do not turn off your ad blocker.

That's a turn off. It use to be a good place, now it's not, so that's the short answer. Dood has a similar strategy, except it's mostly with malicious pop-ups & pop-unders.

We have our own computer business & use UBlock in addition to other methods of blocking illegal bandwidth hijackers that steal your internet connection & space on harddrives, such as host list blocking using 0.0.0.0 or 127.0.0.1 to return these malicious intrusions away, but Streamz & Dood remain broken and useless for us, so we don't use them anymore. For us, it's another site. In fact, it's the only site that does work at all for us.

Yet there are plenty of people who use the same methods to prevent bandwidth & harddrive space theft as we do ... they also use host list blocking & UBlock Origin, yet they have -no problems- with these malicious intrusions, so they are somehow able to use the same sites with different results.

@Ennui-Inferno FYI, most hosts have an anti-adblock option that linkers can chose to enable. If you run into an issue like that it's because the linker enabled this option. By default it should be disabled. In other words, it's not a Streamz issue, it's a linker issue. Unless they have a bug that I'm unaware of.

The real answer to OP's question is that dosmovies doesn't handle certain hosts well. Links from some hosts get wrongly detected as being dead. Meaning they get removed automatically after a short period of time. In some other cases dosmovies doesn't detect the title of the links properly for some hosts which always causes them to be at the bottom of the links list, making it unattractive to use them here. Doc could easily fix both of these issues but has chosen not to.

A third reason is that this site use a per user link limit (5) instead of a per host link limit so linkers are incentivized to use the hosts that work best on here where possible.

@Smuff Informative.

I'm new here, so have no experience with how this site does anything. Any info I have is based on experiences in general on the internet yet not for this site. I can't comment on that other than to say our family enjoys this site, yet don't have problems with links since we just use what works. 20 years of downloading has given us lots of experience with host sites, but never knew about the other stuff, so thanks for that one.

Cheerio!

@Smuff G'day an thank you also for the info. I find many other links don't work for my purpose so finding that these were the best for me at another site that has since been pretty much shut down and then finding that they aren't so popular here was a little disappointing but you just have to take what you can get and be very very grateful to the many uploaders as without them we would be lost.

@Ennui-Inferno G'day and thank you for your input. I have found that if I turn off UBlock for Streamzz it works great for me but as you say everyone seems to have different results. It is great to share info as we all manage to learn a little or a lot from other experiences

@AgedAussie No problemo! My husband & dad are the one's who coached me, so thanks to them. I'm just passing on what has helped for us, like Smuff. We didn't know about that info, and it's helpful to have that fuller picture as to -why- things are the way they are with hosts & their relationship with link providers.

We personally have a problem with any site that wants us to turn off our protection in order to use their services since a lot of scripts have crypto-miners that hijack the hardware resources of devices for someone else's personal enrichment. While that's scary, we don't recommend bending the knee to that sort of technological blackmail. I just hope that your results are harmless & good with no ill-effects for your device or your personal data - that's the best way for me to put it =)

We have a big family, so we have to download & watch later too. No streaming here. Hope all is well as you move into colder weather down there!

G'day Again thank you. If I leave UBlock on I can't get into those links they just wont open but I too am sooooo cautious and am always alert to anything out of the ordinary. I also use a VPN. Mixdrop is my goto for fastest download followed by Streamtape or userload but all can sometimes be extremely slow for unknown reasons from one minute to the next.

I don't mind the colder weather coming but it has been the past 7 months of constant wet weather we have endured that really annoys me and so many others. Take care and thanks again
