This must be the first time I watched satire and didnt find it funny. To be fair, it took me a while to realise this is satire to begin with. Initially it looked like one of those idiots making outlandish claims, which other idiots will actually adopt as dogma....

I dont know man, I personally prefer satire that gives me a belly laugh. Something like this:

@JudgeDredd personally i didn't care about the cast. i found they added extended song numbers that were unneeded and them choosing to steal the role of killing ursula from the prince to empower ariel was unnecessary in my opinion. i also heard there were complaints on melissa mccarthy as ursula whereas to me her scenes and acting was the best part of the movie. overall i thought the movie was mediocre

@chaz1014 I really have no opinion on the matter as I havent seen the movie......and quite frankly I dont intend to. Musicals or anything that has to do with singing isnt really my cup of tea.

@JudgeDredd i grew up on disney, as well as the original hans christian andersen version and probably 20 diff iterations, and when disney first started converting and making live action i expected this and wanted to see how they approached it. frankly the live action mulan is the best they have done. i also wish they would tackle the black cauldron that actually comes from a brilliant set of books called the prydain chronicles by lloyd alexander i think.

@chaz1014 Oh yeah. Mulan was pretty amazing. Easily one of their best films to date smiley

@JudgeDredd Timing and incorporation of an actual real life event (like this does) is necessary for effectual satire. Although, that lady in the audience and her overbearing laugh is enough to turn anyone off of watching. smiley

I don't get it. Was it suppose to convey some sort of message?

@Javi Javi - I think the message is that they need to hire funnier scripwriters, better actors and IRL senarios.

They could learn a bit from the TDS, John Oliver or maybe even Bob Hope.
