A strange thought came to me the other day. Pertaining to underwear, specifically women's underwear. It's in the fancy name they've been given "panties". How did women's underwear ever come to be known as "panties"? When men's underwear is primarily known as just underwear, shorts or briefs? Or am I just perhaps slightly overthinking this? See, the thing is, I like the word "panties". Where is with all the men's underwear labels I find just boring. Did someone decide they should be called panties because they observed how some men began panting upon seeing attractive women wearing skimpy skin tight bottoms that despite covering the female genitals and much of the buttocks, are rather revealing? I'm being serious here.
