Robert Eggers' 1st 2 movies fit the bill w/'The Witch' & 'The Lighthouse'. The Witch is set in 1630 & is based on English folklore & language. dosmovies.com/film/The_Witch_201... 'The Lighthouse' is set in 1890 w/some maritime folklore. Both are slow burns but worth the watch if you enjoy art house films. He also made the current movie The Northman based on Viking lore which will be released on 4/22 so I've yet to see it but I'm sure it will be great, judging from advance screening reviews on IMDB. Grim 1995 the movie. I know the series was bases on 'the brothers grim' or aesop's fables is a moral to the story folklore collection but am not sure if a video series or movie was e er done of those.

I just got done watching "Antlers (2021)" and it was pretty good. I have also seen all of the supernatural TV shows seasons and episodes plus I have also seen the TV shows "Teen Wolf" and "The Originals" and "The Vampire Diaries". Plus "Being Human" and "Hemlock Grove" and "blood Ties". Most of these are just vampire or werewolf TV shows. But I also like the "Horror" and "Thriller" kinds of shows.
Things that are based on folklore like the tooth fairy horror movies and werewolf based movies or just horror movies with some truth to them.
When I say truth I mean story's that have been passed down through different people. I really like the native American based story movies.
Things like skin walkers, Wendigo and others.
I like how the stories can become movies and even have episodes in TV shows. Are there any movies based on folklore or native American stories that someone can share with me. ...
