I saw the first commercial for this and it made me laugh in disbelief. The idea that someone is actually stupid enough to call todd hoffman to "save" his failing mine is hard to believe. The hoffmans are so successful, such good gold miners that they were thrown off of 2 claims for incompetence and lost their first claim to Fred because they could not be bothered to call the claim owner all winter to protect their agreement. I noticed that Gold Rush is not in the title, all the other spin-offs do have it. at last count there are 8 shows with Gold Rush: this and that including Freddy Dodge's Mine Rescue. Asking, pleading, and even begging for Freddy and Juan to come to rescue his mine makes great sense, asking todd hoffman to does not.
