We decided to hide Adult movies from our Movie/TV browsers. Hope you will support this idea. We want to be a family safe site.

@Dr.Evil I support it. There's only a billion sites to watch porn for free, this is hardly something to fuss about. <br> <br> Darn can't put an emoji here.

Thank you. I still let my grandson use this site. I was just getting him to the kids movie to avoid home page. Now I don't have to anymore. He felt like I didn't trust him anymore. Glad this was remedied. smiley

"We want to be a family safe site." <br> The popup adverts with malware and porn are never going to be family friendly are they. And suggesting children be encouraged to decide what to click on shady sites is at best disasterous. Imagine how much malware they could install with just a few minutes of browsing these sites. <br> <br> Also, I'm not into porn but it's not 1951. <br> <br> So all in all - an insane concept. :D

@Lemming If your computers not protected from that stuff, you shouldn't be on the internet. A kid could go nuts and mine would be fine..

@Melted~Dreams New malware is being made all the time - I wouldn't trust any AV to be 100% with all PUPs and malware. But yes - you could just give them a VM and reset it on boot.

Its a great Idea. But as Lemming brought up, The adds and pop-ups make this a mute idea. I can't do what you said, because I use an adblock, But they are there, I see them when I'm on a device not using a adblock.. Porn is everywhere on the internet. Especially ads on free sites..

Okay. After extensive research, smiley ..(omg the popups smiley ) Openload is almost always links to dating sites/sex sites. Vidto.me got same thing. Vidlox.tv, Flashx.tv,... (All these dating sites have porn in them). Specifically Awakening the zodiac, Streamin.to, got pop ups to video chat porn( Chaterbate I think it was called?). This was all after clicking the source link link. Everything I pretty much randomly picked.. & it's definitely not as bad as it used to be. At least not here at this site. I get an adblock on everything so I rarely get to see anything unless i'm somewhere else or something so.. You're definitely right some. Its just changed, the kine porn advertisement.

@Melted~Dreams Thanks for the research. So what can we do? Nothing. We can't ban these sites.

@Dr.Evil Maybe a section devoted to sharing adblocking filters? <br> Examples to clean vidzi: <br> <br> vidzi.tv###video-meta <br> <br> vidzi.tv###container > footer:nth-child(3) > div.row <br> <br> vidzi.tv##div.zopim:first-child > iframe <br> <br> vidzi.tv###AdskeeperComposite124441 > div.mgbox:last-child <br> <br> * Adguard on Opera, of course everyones mileage may vary. But a user filter wiki could quickly bloom into a significant user overthrow of invasive ads.

@Melted~Dreams A lot of the ad services scan or track your web use so usually if yer seeing porn and dating ads it means they've picked up on your fapping activities smiley

@Melted~Dreams Well if you're not doing it, someone else is smiley. Sending a do not track request doesn't always work, the likes of facebook ignore it and same goes with a lot of (dis)reputable advertisers.

Exactly smiley . Just recommend everyone use Adblocks and Keep an eye on what your kids are doing. Be a Parent. smiley <br> I use Stands myself for adblock. I've gone back to the adblock and adblock plus and I always keep going back to Stands.. There's always some dang pops that get through but it's nothing bad. Atleast its not like it used to be. Click a link and get a d**k in your face... smiley smiley smiley Or, "Check this movie out mom", *Clicks link, hardcore porn everywhere.. smiley

@Melted~Dreams Ublock is also good. But you can even add some code to hosts file and ads will be blocked everywhere.

Filling the hosts file with rules will slow down DNS lookups once it's got a lot of entries in it (so I read at least). <br> <br> I use Ublock and set dom.popup_allowed_events to 'click' (Firefox). That stops all popups triggered by script events and only your clicking can initiate a new window. That rule is amazingly effective and there's no downside.

@Lemming Cool feature (Firefox), didn't know about that. <br> Do you know similar stuff for Chrome?

@Dr.Evil After spending some time reading it looks like you'd have to use a plugin to get that level of control over popup events in Chrome (try about:about though). According to the Google info I'm seeing there's only an on / off setting and per site settings, and oddly they claim popups are blocked by default. <br> ( support.google.com/chrome/answer... ) <br> <br> My advice would be to just use Firefox instead. I'm a web dev and been using Firefox for the last 17+ years. People have been brainwashed into thinking Chrome is somehow better and faster when it isn't, and the way Google have done it by pushing Chrome onto people every time they visit Google to search is like a malware tactic. <br> <br> If you want speed use Opera or Pale Moon. For standards compliance and control Firefox has always been best and the dev's choice for development since the 90s. ...

@Lemming You are right but the market share of Chrome is higher. We can't push people to Firefox because we don't have resources... Google has. I'm talking about regular users. They're using pre-installed apps and don't care.

@Dr.Evil Ah, you're thinking of making some kind of guide for people? Nothing to stop you putting a message like "We recommend Firefox and Ublock for best results". <br> <br> I've been meaning to post a tip about blocking script window events for a while in the forum here but wanted to see about IE / Chrome / Edge equivalents first. You can see why I never got round to it..

I also use firefox for watching movies. Seems to work better and blockers are also better. Ant video extension excellent if you want to download one to save. I mostly save kids movies to burn for grandchildren.

@sleek12 You can still browse them by adding Adult word as genre in the url, use google search, use tags, etc. We may enable a button at the bottom of the page that will enable adult browsing, it's possible.

Truth is I came to this site hoping to watch an adventure movie that apparently included pirates... turned out to be an adult movie with not the sort of action I was looking for, though I don't deny I had an eyeful before I moved back to the main site. <br> That said nowhere seems to be safe. The King Arthur; Legend of the Sword Vidto.me link opens up a plethora of stuff that would once have got Soho shut down. <br> I suggest parents are going to allow their children to peruse this site that they install Firefox and a good Adblock extension. ( Yes I support the Mozilla foundation, but this isn't an advert, just bloody good advice ).
