For four days in a row, the planet reached its hottest day ever recorded as regions all over the world endure dangerous heat.

Earth warmed to the highest temperature ever recorded by human-made instruments when the average global temperature reached 17.18 degrees Celsius, or 62.92 degrees Fahrenheit, on Tuesday, as millions of Americans celebrated the Fourth of July, data from the U.S. National Centers for Environmental Prediction shows.

@tyetoes I'm in NY, and it has been the same here. 70-something to 80s at night and 90s during the day. High humidity.

@tyetoes It has been the same here in my town all week. We are situated on a lake therefore it gets so humid. We have been at 100% humidity all week, today it broke and it is much easier to breath. The humidity puts me in a horribly crabby mood. I hope that you are getting a break from it too

Can't say we notice it here in the Southern hemisphere where it is winter.
But there is a lot of rain.

@LolaBelle I hope you were able to salvage most of your food! You made me think of how taxed the grid is going to be this summer. Keep your devices plugged in and charged! I make sure I have movies (like from Prime) and music downloaded.

I hope you and yours are all okay!

@alicefell Luckily we had a friend in town with space in their deep-freezer, so we didn't lose as much as we could have. It made me and the hubby start price-checking some generators.

I live in the foothills of the Rockies not too far from Denver, CO. It has been humid (I say, what's that now?) and the Thunderstorms in the Rockies are dumping huge amounts of rain and hail into Denver suburbs. Golfball-sized hail that is causing much damage to cars. A Lyft driver told me that she is 50, born and raised here and these showers and humidity are a once-in-a-lifetime event. Usually, it is 85-90 degrees every day at this time (July).

My housemate and I joke about our thermometers which have a humidity reading. We say the thermometers are broken because the humidity reading never moves past 10%. My bedroom registered 41% the other day—Wowee!

For a month now, the days seem to average in the lower 70s (Fahrenheit) and the mid-50s at night. I've had to turn on the AC a couple of times as our apt. is over the laundry room and in summer, like today, the rooms are a good 10-11 degrees over the temp. outside. Also, the AC is in the living room and we have to use 5 fans to train the air to come back into the bedrooms. By August I usually move my desk into the living room. And I certainly keep my facial products and lotions, etc. in the living room to prevent Chemical Breakdown!

Also from the Climate panic promoters in the USA as NOAA is this tiny tidbit of an admission:
Https://www.climate.gov/news -features/climate-qa/did-global-warming- stop-1998

Did global warming stop in 1998?
No, but thanks to natural variability, volcanic eruptions, and relatively low solar activity, the rate of average global surface warming from 1998-2012 was slower than it had been for two to three decades leading up to it.

Oh, Terror!! humans are burning oil, coal and massive numbers of cows are farting, but Natural Variability is responsible for a PAUSE??? People need to learn how to 'educate' themselves,

Not gorge on the predigested fodder thrown in the trough, they are told to consume to be good global citizens, is that not right, Citizen??

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) is the United Nations body for assessing the science related to climate change.

Resolving disparate paradigms is challenging at the UN, perhaps.
