@ᗩᖇᗰᕮᕮK Which of the two parties will the sheep vote for. So scared not taking the time to really consider option #3 or #4. I always take this test and vote for the party that has my believes.

votecompass.cbc.ca/canada/

It's just one of many. I always knew I didn't belong to the two main parties. This just points me in the right direction.

My kid and I will be out there Monday. Hope everyone else shows up..

@kellyann The important thing here is that you are going to vote....And that your a great roll model for your kid..Bravo...Government,Politicians, Elections, are some what a gamble, unfortunately history has shown us that most lie and promise and once they are elected do not deliver on most part...What I do is do a little research and listen to the debates and interviews they do and decide who is best for me just like you do,and who I believe is best for the country..*Have a wonderful evening....Be well.

On Thanksgiving, Canadians give thanks for a successful year and harvest. The Thanksgiving holiday tradition in Canada dates back to when the English explorer, Martin Frobisher, came upon the land we now know as Canada while searching for a Northern passage to the Orient. When Frobisher arrived in Canada on his third voyage in 1578, he held a formal ceremony where he gave thanks for surviving the long journey - one of his ships had been lost on the way. Frobisher celebrated with salt beef and peas. South of the border, it would be another 43 years before the Pilgrims sat down to celebrate their first Thanksgiving meal.Apart from taking place years before its American counterpart, Canadian thanksgiving also takes place over a month earlier. One reason is that the harvest season starts earlier in Canada than it does in the US......*Have a wonderful Thanksgiving week.

@Bread&Circuses www.youtube.com/watch?v=qyQ5beN8...

This is one of my favorites. I find the strangest, most compelling music from movies and TV series. This I found in a series from BBC called SKINS. I think it was BBC.

@kellyann VERY nice KellyAnn. Thank you.
Have you been doing the Ken Burns' Mini series documentary of Country Music on PBS that's still airing ? Wonderful stuff. I see PW has it as well as on www.pbs.org/
I love the history of it all. smiley

@Bread&Circuses Can't say I'm into Country Music. Now and then a song will come along that will hit me the right way like Tennessee Whiskey. Not into rap or classical either. Can't pin point my interest, hmm maybe the Blue. Would you say that Alabama Shakes is the Blues?

@kellyann I'm not into country music either, but I find the history of it fascinating. It's all Country Music, or is it Folk? If it's good, different people call it different things. Does not a Rose by any other name smell as sweet? smiley
Btw, another new episode tonight on PBS.

........................................

*Life is a continuous learning experience. Throughout our lives we keep rising and falling, picking up important lessons along the way. Some of these lessons come from experience, yet there are others that we learn watching others or reading in books for example. No matter how much we learn from the books there is a significant difference between practical and theoretical experience. Furthermore, there are many life lessons that we simply cannot learn until we face certain situations in our life. Most people would say that there are some lessons that come too late, catching us off-guard.

Your life is now.
We keeping waiting for that amazing thing to happen in the future that will be the key to our happiness. But this is it. Your life is right now. Life continues to be a series of right nows. So learn to love your life right now, and you'll have an amazing life.

Jaclyn Moriarty is a award winning Australian and the best-selling author of novels for young adults including Feeling Sorry for Celia, The Year of Secret Assignments, and the Colors of Madeleine trilogy. Jaclyn grew up in Sydney, lived in England, Canada and the US, and now lives in Sydney again. She studied English at the University of Sydney, and law at Yale University and Cambridge University, where she was awarded a PhD....* I would like to recommend the adult debut novel from Jaclyn...*Gravity Is The Thing.

If you love the feel of the paper between your fingers as you read a great book, this is a true page turner, I always travel with a novel mostly for the plane going and returning home, this book did not make it to the trip home, had to finish it.
