I'll admit that i was expecting to like this show after reading these reviews but i should have known better because I usually love things that most don't. To each their own, i guess. The acting was sheer perfection and the story was 10 kinds of awesome. I love the way everything and everyone one looks. Also,I like that they speak English, but has their own added vocabulary/language additions. It just ties it all together and makes it feel so realistic. I usually give a show 3 episodes to grab me, but this show got me hook, line and sinker early on. I knew after just half of the pilot that I was going to want much more. I hope this was just a little taste of more greatness to come.

OK – I’ll give it a go. BIZARRE… Looks like a misguided effort to be another GOT. Imagine 1,000+ years from now – our cities are destroyed, the people survive in the wilderness in primitive stone age tribes, sing songs with grunts and, oh, btw – almost forgot – they are ALL BLIND FROM BIRTH and ALL are Shamans and sound like Yoda or Wes Studi when they say their lines. (I’m not kidding nor is this a spoiler) If you want to know what the dialog sounds like – pick up your copy of Canterbury tales and start reading it aloud. Sadly, as all actors cannot do Shakespeare – I really feel sorry for this international cast trying to ‘do Shaman.’ ‘The winds are telling me…, I spoke to the Owls,,, I hear the rivers miles away, I smell their fear…. , Shadows have Shadows.. And so on,.,. “Imagine the entire cast speaking like this? ‘methinks this mental’

We meet a Queen who lives in a burnt out, rundown apartment tower – she of course has hot water and a music / sound system. Within seconds of her appearance, she begins reciting Catholic prayers and masturbating. (Well? No one can see her! Maybe that’s how they all went blind?) She meets with her council and shockingly – they all speak Shaman except the Queen who keeps dropping F… Bombs.

@bigsteve I don’t know if this was a UK paid-for production, but it was filmed mostly here where I live. Jason Momoa was in the Mission Springs Pub in Mission, BC, 10 minutes from here and then in nearby Chilliwack and here in Abbotsford. And then some of it was filmed on Vancouver Island and I think a bit in Ontario. As soon as I saw the scenery shots in the first 30 seconds, I realized this was what he was filming here earlier this year. We always have lots of filming going on here, much to the chagrin of people trying to get through daily traffic, and actors frequently wander around, but we don’t usually notice them because they don’t usually just randomly pop in for a brewski at the local pub, lol. Also, we’re Canadian and we’re conditioned to politely ignore celebrities. PS: that “maybe that’s how they all went blind” made me laugh out loud.

ok,, I've watched 3 episodes and while it's an interesting concept and fairly good production,, I can't decide if I like it or not cuz it ends up really dumb in places..
They all have that ability to "see" through different senses (cuz they're blind) but they consider visual sight some kind of voodoo.. they can't see but still adorn themselves with decorations even though no one else can be attracted by or appreciate it.. It's obviously a sighted person's interpretation of what generational blind folk would go through..
It's violent in concept and action and I keep thinking, when I was in 5th grade, I was reading and watching the movie; To Kill a Mockingbird,, but this is what 5th graders are watching now and that makes me really dislike it and that's when this show comes off as really dumb crap (even with Jason as lead character),,, I'll probably keep watching but it's not with eager anticipation,, more cuz I'm curious about what's gonna happen...

I only watched half of the first episode and I just want liking it at all! I was so excited to see Jason Momoa in another series especially as a lead character but this isn't my cup of tea. I almost thought it was part musical with the chanting and dancing. If you like a lot of action and a lot of fight scenes then I think you will love this. Maybe there is more story and less fighting on into it, if that's the case please let me know and I will give it another shot. As of now not impressed

@Teeny💋 There is definitely more storyline than there is fighting. You really need to watch the entire season.

@Teeny💋 I stuck it out an it grew on me. Much like GOT, the characters take a bit to develop. Season two is excellent.

Really intriguing and unique scenario.
It's rare that actors play their roles well in first episodes, but here the actors are really great.
Looking forward to watching this.

This is the most amazing show that I have ever seen. The production value is really high quality, and the story-line is really good. Every episode keeps my attention from beginning to end. Sometimes I feel like I am watching a super long blockbuster movie instead of a tv-show. This is seriously my favorite new show, and I keep telling all my friends and family about it. I hope that they will keep it going for years. I give this show a 10 out of 10.

I absolutely loved this season. The storyline was just amazing and the characters were out of this world awesome. Jason Momoa nails the role of Baba Voss. The fight scenes are some of the best if not the best I have ever seen before. All in all a visually stunning show (hehe) and I will await season 2 with my fingers (and toes) crossed.

Very thrilled to have found this. Fantastic story, characters and cinematography. I have been searching for weeks for something, anything to take me away. This show does that and keeps me anxious as hell while watching it...LMAO!!

Weirdest stuff I have watched lately. I managed to watch the first episode up to the part that the Queen started to pray. This scene insulted my good taste as audience. Good thing it wasn't J. Momoa praying for i'd choke on my potato chips. The only reason I watched up to this point is the good cast, nice fighting scenes and scenery but I consider the script so messed up that i'd give no more than 3/10

Season 2 is soooooo good! It's even better than the first. I feel like season 2 is even better than Game of Thrones, and faster paced too! I can't wait until season 3. 10 out of 10!

Okay, does it get any dumber than that? Does it even deserve a review? Blind people battling blind people? Who, or what, thought up this nonsense? A one episode and done for me. Complete waste of time.

Season 2 is even better than the first. The acting is as good as it gets along with amazing scenery, story line and production. For me this was an amazing season that kept me hooked all the way through. The only down side is now I have to wait for season 3.

Strange brutal concept of post apocaliptic world where we dont have all our sences but they sences that are is inhansed and we thrive but under therynical resaim. Can be slow but makes up for it in brutalty and exploring humanity and what we dont know or understand scrares us we have to kill it or use it. Looks like changing direction a bit by end of episode 4. If you like jason mamoa you might like it i will see where goes next post if good or not. Hard concept to do will the be able keep it up. Nearly unbilvable as it is waiting on somone totaly f**king up contanuity lol
