They all have trojans and malware...have to go to other sites to watch anything now. I love dosmovies but my pc gets infected every time. I have AVG.

I don't seem have that problem. Using Avast and then using Firefox for a browser with the extensions Ublock Origin and Strict Pop-Up Blocker seems to make it work fine for me or blocks it from loading so I don't get any trojans or malware.

Avast sometimes doesn't like Voe and wont let the page open for me but that happens on any site for Voe. Sometimes I can go a while being able to use Voe with no issues and then will go weeks where Avast blocks it. Voe is the only one I have issues with and use upstream and mixdrop regularly.

Of coarse they do and they are not the only ones either. Most but not all FREE streaming sites are loaded with exposed and hidden popups supposedly to earn money.
Even when using my old Windows XP with FF ESR 52.9 system, despite having uBlock Origin, uMatrix, AVG and WinPatrol 2011, I have never picked up any infections or malware as far as I know. @kathyerine, you might look into better protection addons for your browser.

I have the paid version of AVG but the porn sites and trojans keep coming up with all sites. I have used dosmovies in thier various names for years. I know that using these websites can cause these problems but there was always at least one that I could use without problems. I used Voe until it got infected same with upstream and all the rest. Mixdrop has been good until last month. Thanks for the answers.

I am so in linux that forgot that people use windows anymore. I ve seen that truly they have problems like Kathy's. I haven't seen porn ad since ages in my linux machines. Just Firefox and ublock or Chromium and ublock. Not transprnt proxies or other stuff. I have even forgotten how to set up a privoxy anymore.

Kathy I think u should try these Hosts deny and DNS deny lists for windows or use something simple like peerblock and lists. There are how to's everywhere I guess

Smart tvs and android phones, it'a a game lost for me. I avoid even looking at them, I can't help with that

@Nasos Please review the privacy settings of the browsers also. Maybe a check on some box make a big change

Mixdrop never worked for me at all, using an iPad with iCabMobile & built in adblocks. Like literally couldn’t play unless I opened the link in safari and put up with dozens of ads. It was such a PITA when that was everyone’s go-to for uploading. If people are using it less that’s a relief for me. Upstream used to work fine but I haven’t come across an upstream link in about a year, doesn’t seem like anyone is using it anymore. Voe is usually fine, and streamtape seems to work fine except that when a video is finished I’m confronted with a full screen ad (it’s just a massive picture of some girls tits)

Thanks for the comment. Sounds like you have been going through the same as me lately. Nothing works for me even with my adblocks, antivirus and being careful with it all. smiley I'll keep trying though! smiley

Install Ublock Origin. It will block nearly all the adverts and 99% of pop-ups etc.

I'm amazed you're actually using the internet in 2023 without it o_O

@kathyerine If you need any help using it let me know, though it's fairly self-explanatory. Once installed just go into the settings and choose the lists of the things you want it to block.

I only use Ghosterly, which is a browser extention/add on. I think it works very well. For me, streamtape is the only site that doesn't give me issues, and mixdrop when it was working.
