I have 9. I was only ever going to have one.. but then it got bigger... and then it got even bigger. And then (because that one is on my shoulder, well it started there, and ended up down the right side of my back) I wanted one.. "just a little one" somewhere I could see it without needing a mirror. So I got one on my wrist, but then I felt that needed a matching one on my foot. Then my friend started tattooing so I said he could have a bit of me to practise on, and then, and then.... and so on.
But all where they could be hidden if needed.
Cos that was always going to be the case, and then my friend and I went to Ibiza... now I have a lizard behind my ear where everyone can see it.....
And the last one is definitely the last one ever, except I do want a nautical themed one in honour of my Dad....
But if I do get that it will most definitely be the last one....
But they're not addictive are they? Not at all.
@⭐️janerosity⭐️ I have none but my partner has several. I guess the jury is still out for me as I’ve dated ladies with and without and have no preference. One of my exes had 2 wedding rings joined by a chain on her lower back. I innocently commented one day that they looked like handcuffs and she immediately had them covered with a huge gerberer. My nephew has a full sleeve and his back and chest too but still has his ex ( milly ) on his bicep. His lates partner of course, demanded he cover it up, he refused, they argued, he had it covered. lol. Not sure if I like tattoos on breasts and definitely not on hands or neck. I might consider a bicep torc made from rose stems with plenty of thorns but could I sit still long enough ?
@shabbapaul Thank you for sharing your thoughts. After I finish reading rest of comments I will add my son's Rose, it's definitely different as far as roses I've seen. 💋
@shabbapaul I don't care for breast tattoos myself. I've seen what they look like years later, not so good 💋
@Teeny💋 Nor me, also ouch!! I kind of have a plan to get something done that links the (now huge) shoulder tattoo to the mandala at the top of my arm, incorporating the nautical one I want for my Dad, to create an upper arm sleeve. I think I should probably have a cat in that somewhere too. The Mandala was done by Sons friend who is amazing at dot work and geometrics so may let him do it. Except... I.M NOT HAVING ANYMORE.
@⭐️janerosity⭐️ That's nice having a friend that tattoos. My husband has a tattoo gun and wanted to stay practicing but he hasn't yet. I've always wanted to have one arm sleeved. I think that can be really sexy on a woman. I have my son's name on one wrist so I thought I could add on from that. Thank you for sharing 💋
I have 7 tats.I will be getting another one, soon.I am so excited. It has been almost 20 years! This one will remind me of my daughter. She is very good with instruments. This year she started 9th grade. She is now playing the bass clarionette.I would like to get some music notes.
@tyetoes That is a really good idea with the music notes. I have my son's name on my wrist. I figured that is one name I will never be tired of our regret having. I wanted to sleeve that arm and start from his name but I haven't decided what exactly I want next. Sadly money is usually needed elsewhere. Please don't get those tattooed eyes on your face...lol💋
Everybody in my family, recent and in the past, has/had tattoos. Except me, I have a exceptional amount of scars all over my body to remind me of different periods of my life. I've always wanted one but never came to terms to do it. One day maybe.
@WEBHEAD🕸️ You know they work over scars to. I had a hysterectomy and I have a Celtic heart over part of that scar. I thought it might not hurt that bad be there is nerve damage there and it's mostly numb but it felt really strange and still hurt. If you ever get one please share it with us 💋
@Buttless I've had that discussion with my son as he likes a lot of rap artist who have them. He likes them but understands that it would limit job possibilities and people would also judge you before knowing you. I personally wouldn't do it but it seems those who do are almost wanting to stand out in that negative way 💋
@Buttless I think the issue is there are always those who want to be extreme. Once upon a time a woman having even one tiny tattoo would've been that, but as they have become very acceptable and mainstream the peeps who want to be extreme will need to go even further. Hence the rise in face tattoos and body modification. Once that becomes acceptable I wonder what the next thing will be. Probably getting stared and thought of as weird if you actually don't have anything done.
A tattoo covers the whole face and was a symbol of rank, social status, power and prestige. For Maori, tattooing was (and for some, still is) a rite of passage, which meant it was highly revered and ritualised. ... The Maori tattoo artist is called the tohunga ta moko which means moko specialist.

@---BOX--- Thank you for sharing that, I like the meaning behind theirs. At least they have true reasons behind it. I love seeing other cultures that tattoo and have body modifications... Some are extreme 💋
@⭐️janerosity⭐️ Oh I'm sure, he works next to a tattoo shop so he's been making quick friends and even dated the piercer for a bit. His boss is giving them all $50 towards a tattoo for Xmas. So he's already planning. I told him about your lizard behind the ear and he loved that idea 💋💋

I was wondering how many tattoo lovers are out there? I have 8 in total myself. They are pretty addictive once you get the first. My son actually just got his first. I will post it later. All of mine aren't necessarily about the picture they after but they all signify a big change in my life, that is always when I was go in unexpectedly and get one. After a divorce, a marriage, birth of my son, getting sober...etc. If anyone else would like to share their thoughts on tattoos please do
