The fifth season was supposed to be the last one, but the show was renewed for sixt season, which will be the actual last one.

When the cancellation was announced last year they said about how they intended on season five being the last season even before Netflix picked up the show for season four because they didn't want to drag the show on. I really don't see people losing interest enough to not extend the seasons though. If anything, I think it is gaining more interest. I'm just glad that they will be filming at least one more season, although I'm not sure what surprises might be in store for season five since they did write that season while planning it to be the final season, which is why they added more episodes and had the season split into two releases. Still glad it is back and hope to get many more seasons, but really just grateful for anything after nearly having the entire show end on a cliffhanger in season three. Season four was also worth the wait, as I'm sure season five will be. Only one more month until we get the first batch of season five episodes. :)
@healingsolitude Thank you for the info. I also can't see viewers losing interest in this series and wish it would continue beyond 6 seasons. I am sure many series/films won't even be filmed for future seasons due to pandemic so I am grateful for whatever we get right now or near future. I can't wait for this! Cheers!
