On paper, this TV show was supposed to be a police procedural in which, a smart-mouthed American cop (Mark Valley) is sent to New Scotland Yard as punishment, but of course he's a torment to his by-the-book boss (Colin Salmon) and bratty-but-beautiful, rich roommate (Sienna Miller). The only characters who like him are his lovelorn-and-sexually promiscuous partner (Julian Rhind-Tutt) and Pete (real name Dozer), his bull terrier who constantly looks for "inter-species love" despite an antisocial personality disorder.

Because of wonderfully nuanced performances and well-delivered & witty dialog, Keen Eddie breaks out of the mundane midway into its second episode and rewards the viewer with something rare: action, screwball comedy, bromance, and satisfying sense that justice can prevail.

Keen Eddie premiered on Fox TV as a summer replacement series. Unfortunately, the writing was far too clever, the camerawork too innovative (directors included Simon West: Lara Croft, Stolen, Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up";Tony Bill: Pee Wee's Big Adventure,Leverage ; Paul Shapiro: X Files, 24).
