My dog Moxie is a Bull-Schnoodle-Terrier Heelerhund. He has greenish brown eyes. (Six generations of Schnauzer-Poodles couldn't cover the tiny percentage of Other DNA.) There are moments he seems to be from another planet (and not in a cat way).

@manditoe TWIGGY!!! Thanks so much for reminding me. Saw her in a Ron Burgundy "Anchorman" film, became obsessed, and a few years later, I wondered what happened with her & Ollie and that slutty sister of hers (early deets in the news story u sent) but I didn't want to read she died in a tragic boating accident smiley Then I read in Wikipedia (only the truly great get entries) that like Lassie, she retired:

Love Princess Rat (If Templeton was a girl, I bet he'd love that tiara). I love the tiara smiley

I hope the Angel Rat is just a sweet pic and not representative of Coconut's passing. I know you lost a baby last year smiley

@wolfeather11 I just lost Coconut last Sat morning.(He's not in any pain-I'm relieved but sad) smiley and Baby went 3 months before him.

I have an old rat named Coconut also, he's very old and sick. smiley I got 2 new baby girls(just over a month ago), it's been a while since I've had girls and forgot how crazy they are and dribble so much compared to boys. smiley Sorry I missed you! smiley smiley smiley

@manditoe Moxie was dumped by a breeder cuz, as a schnoodle (six schnauzer-poodle generations), he couldn't make hundreds of $$. So the lil fella was dumped, suffering all kinds of emotional & physical trauma. "Experts" told me to euthanize him that he'd never be "normal". I ignored them (after getting good and mad). Today, Moxie is a better housekeeper than I'll ever be (he puts his toys away & helps me by picking up odds & ends and putting them in the recyclables bin). He adores visiting his aunties & uncles and enjoys going to public venues in his buggy, where he brings a smile to everyone he meets.

Thanks for supporting rescue pets, Manditoe!

Just read a study that acknowledges goats do indeed have emotional responses. Seems goats prefer people with smiles than those with scowls or looks of indifference. Some humans, whadderya gonna do..

Happy Midwinter & Long Night Moon. Hope your skies are clear enough to see the green, Christmas comet:(Comet Wirtanenster, near the constellation Taurus) "Find the Pleiades star cluster (which looks like a miniature Little Dipper) in the eastern sky. Point your binoculars at the star cluster, then move slowly down and to the right. Within a couple fields of view, the greenish glow of the comet will come into view. The comet appears nearly as large as the full moon, just not as bright." According to the experts, the optimum time was around the 16th but with a good pair of binocs, it should still be an eyeful.

I'm sorry to hear you were ill. Thought you were having fun with your buddy (I've lost track of time. I'm quite sure I got lost in a time warp.) If you're still feel a little yukky, take zinc with Tang and eat plenty of blueberries with greek yogurt (antioxidants & protein).

@manditoe GREAT!!! Hope your weekend was as pleasant as mine. Saw 1/2 of "Opera in the Park"; sadly, it got too cold for an elderly friend (somehow, it wasn't the rain that made her want to pack it in). Go figure... Anyway, thanks for the wolves. Needless to say, wolves are my one of my animal guides. Do you know yours?
