Finally it arrived! I really enjoyed this one. I saw some were disappointed but it was exactly what I expected. I have always been a follower of Ed and Lorraine Warren. I am just thrilled that they opened their case files to make these great movies. I am hoping that there are so plans to make some of their other cases into movies even though they have passed on...RIP. Patrick and Vera have great chemistry on screen. We can all only hope to have such a long and loving relationship as the Warren's had.
I also just noticed that the camera guy in these was jordan in the 100. I hadn't recognized him before this one. Also Ruairi from the Spanish princess did great job as well.
@Teeny💋 Omg i had no idea they passed. God bless their souls.
@jeremyhall2727 They were one of a kind💋
@jeremyhall2727 ed passed long time ago but she was more recent. she did make cameos in the movies they made from thier cases when she was alive. you had to find her ....not sure if all but shes there in some.
@Teeny💋 hi teeny old dear friend its been awhile hope your ok,i loved this part of the conjouring aswell worth the wait enjoy your weekend teeny
First of all: Patrick Wilson is so handsome it hurts.really. And i am a man.
Conjuring 3 continues the story of its two predecessors and although i think its the weakest part it is still a good horror movie.
Ed and Lorraine will 4ever be in our horror hearts as a dream couple. Posession always is kinda complicated and certainly does not improve ones behaviour, but this time a really nasty b.... is the source of evil and these [SPOILER]lil made-of-bone demon collectors are ttruely spooky! Solid horror entertainment with some EEEEKKKKKK scenes to jump up.
The scariest part of this movie for me was those freakn tapes they played at the end during the credits, that really freaked me out. So this one was different, I didn't think it was as scary as the other 2 especially not as scary as the first one. Right from the beginning Ed and Lorraine are helping out a possessed kid, I really like how they had the priest enter the movie paying homage to a classic.
The exorcism gets kind of crazy especially for ED and a guy named Arne. On the note if this is how things really went down then [SPOILER]maybe Arne should have told someone he invited a dam demon in him instead of going on with life as if he was ok. Maybe locked his self away from people and he wouldn't have caught a murder charge in the first place It's a good movie, I think I was expecting more I didn't finish it with the thought I'll watch it again one day. I do love ED and Lorraine's relationship. Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga have great chemistry playing them. ... And whenever I see John Noble in a movie I automatically assume he's the bad guy lol. 7/10 Read moreLess
@galavion Did you recognize the main guy was king Henry from the Spanish princess? 💋💋
@Teeny💋 I kept trying to figure out why he looked so familiar and that's why. He looks skinnier on this maybe because he doesn't have a million layers of cloths on lol
Well it seemed promising, but then bodies started to animate and the cliche of things sneaking up on you that weren't there. And then came they had to inject the power of "love" in the same way they did about "family" in either Poltergeist II or III. And of course the question of "why" was never answered, instead they gave us some inane response similar to it doesn't matter. The ending was actually the best part, because a demon shows up and looks nothing like...well, you will just have to see for yourself. That was actually cool.
A 6/10 is the best I could do
Wow what a movie the movie from start to finished based on a true story well wort the watch I love all the conjuring film just get better and better
@Djden The series is great
If your a fan of these movies dont let this one go by. Very very well done. 8/10
I love The Conjuring Universe. The first two are up there with my favourite horror movies. This 3rd instalment was good but it definitely doesn't have the suspense and scares like the first two movies. The sinister character just wasn't as scary as the Crooked man, Annabelle, The nun etc. Still, we'll acted and directed just different. I love the actors playing Ed and Lorraine, they have great online chemistry. In all the movie is a must-see, just don't expect it to be better than the others, because it's not. [SPOILER] I must say they must have had a few very flexible acrobats\gymnists as body doubles and some good CGI going on in some of those possession scenes, imagine seeing that in real life!😲
@⋆☆Danielle☆⋆ Oops, I meant to say "great chemistry" not online chemistry lol and when I say 3rd instalment I meant just the first two conjuring movies not all the movies in the conjuring universe. So annoying you can't correct your posts.
Not as dramatic as advertised.
But more enjoyable & realistic storytelling.
Not one of the actors overreact in any scene.. makes the thrill feel more believable.
I didnt realy like the 1st Conjuring, felt generic for me, there are dozens of better Asian horror within that range of in-your-face horror.
But in this one
Characters are more relatable.
A Haunting story that could happen to anyone.
Nothing over the top scary or some dragged on haunting narrative..
My number 1 rank from this franchise is first Insidious
This might be just below that.
@kent.girl insidious is another franchise but i liked it too.
@swans2525 It is all under the umberlla of one universe created by James Wan.
Same reccuring ghosts, especially the Nun.
Its all under Insidious universe
What I like about this franchise is the Love that the Warrens have for each other. Is magical and it is always the most powerful instrument against the enemy. The Conjuring series keeps getting better and better. Wow!
RIP Debbie Glatzel, the real young woman in love with Arne, she just died on June 4th 2021...
Based very loosely on a true story,, it's about heavenly psychic stuff and evil spells,, the proverbial war with good and evil at battle, using the bodies of innocent people to do harm or save the day..
You can still find info going back to 1981 on this murder case ...
I enjoy this series of haunting plots,, great acting as usual and fun production,, fast paced and well directed/edited.....
this is a 10/10 this is a good good movie. Another part please, i want another
So, this was a waste as much as the last. I do believe there is some spiritual connection in the world but not nearly as abrupt as this. I could say a few things as for the possession part about the missing girl.....but no. Time waster and under performed on behalf of the real life characters. Lets see if they can fast forward
This film felt kind of slow and predictable but other than that it was good, obviously I was expecting the whole atmosphere that the other conjuring film displayed which was that macabre horror from start to finish but this film was lacking that and don't get me wrong this film had great horror moments but not consistent like the previous conjuring films, still a great watch though and that was the reason I gave 3 out of 10 stars.
I read a lot of reviews about this movie, and I have to say I was excited to watch it.
However, I did not think it was as good as the first one. I am aware of who they were and their background, but I was expecting a completely different movie than what I saw.
The movie itself was not bad, I just don't think it lived up to the "the conjuring" label like the others. To me, the first one was by far the best.
I just feel like this movie was thrown together in a hurry and could have been so much better.
But it is worth a watch.
7 out of 10.
The eighth installment in The Conjuring Universe serves a familiar horror movie set menu with a genuinely terrifying opening sequence for hors d'oeuvre which is among the best in the franchise. For their third inning, the paranormal investigating husband-and-wife duo of Ed and Lorraine Warren (Wilson and Farmiga) search and gather evidence that would bolster the defense of demonic possession by Arne Cheyenne Johnson (O'Connor), a young man on trial for killing his landlord. (The film, which occurs ten years after the first Conjuring entry, is based on Johnson's real-life 1981 case and murder trial.) The Warrens face off an occultist, a nemesis who is curiously less malevolent than the pair's previous antagonists. The script is a hodgepodge of horror movie tropes and formulaic elements. Even the denouement strikes a less shocking chord. The film manages to deliver some major scares but if there are any reasons to see it, it would be Joseph Bishara's still ominously frightening score and the persuasive performances of Wilson and Farmiga, who are terrific together onscreen.
It kept me entertained. Farminga and Wilson were terrific as always... I just thought the antagonist was lackluster and not intimidating or scary at all. But I guess that's how it goes when [SPOILER]you're a satanist. You are boring and serve the devil lmao. I think what made the movie even scarier was the music. I liked the scary music. It was one big orchestra but sounded like a bunch of noise at the same time. You'll understand what I'm saying, once you hear it. A disharmonious, ominous music score, from beginning to end.
The best horror movie of the year. Great from start to finish.
Copy quality 10/10 - audio 8/10 - overall an excellent addition to the franchise well worth a watch only thing is [SPOILER]you will need to go shopping to either buy a few pairs of undies or some diapers! not for the faint hearted
These movies are great, they are the only scary movies that really scare me. There are 8 total movies in the Conjuring universe. I liked them all!!
Annabelle Comes Home
The Curse of La Llorona
The Conjuring 2
The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It
This was a very enjoyable movie. Loosely based on one of the Warrens paranormal case files. It's in my opinion the better of the three movies out so far. It is predictable as plots go. Superb acting. Special effects were good. But, you can almost feel the directors struggle to make the scenes flow together. These movies always seem like chaos when the poo starts to fly on screen. But, i'm a paranormal fan and I enjoy a good scary movie. This is a must see for fans..
The Conjuring films will have you believe that they are all based on true stories. While this isn't neccesarily a massive, lie they should really put loosely based on a true story. Whilst this film is fun to watch it is only probably 20% factual. The rest is pure Hollywood. I won't spoil the film for anyone, but if they want to compare the howling differences just search the internet. It's the same for all of the Conjuring films. On a positive the on screen partnership of Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga is fantastic and they make a great pairing on screen. I hope we get more of these loosely based on a true story kind of films, as while I only gave it a 6/10, that is purely for it being more fiction than fact. Other than that it an enjoyable watch and a good film.
@Dwarrow Most people understand thats how hollywood works.
This one was great.
I'm not as familiar with the true story behind this one as I was with the other two, so I can't speak to accuracy.
But, generally speaking, the conjuring movies tend to fictionalize and overdramatize for entertainment value, so take them as "inspired by actual events" rather than depicting real events.
That having been said, it was very entertaining.
Acting and effects were great, as usual.
If you haven't check it out yet, give it a chance.
So, far, you can't really go wrong with this series.
‘The Power of Christ Compels You’ …….. and I know what I’m talking about !!! (or do I ?) 👺
Good movie 🍿 interesting even though I'm not a fan of all the religious stuff and undertones and not really a fan of Ed and Lorraine Warren but the plot was ok it's watchable in my opinion pretty good movie. Probably will not watch this one again. But not a bad. Movie worth watching
