I haven't ever used this term before but this is "humdrum" in sake of wokeness. The actors are good but they are wasted in a 48 minute long commercial that is trying to promote a message instead of presenting an entertaining show. Rob Lowe must be cringing every day he goes to work.

You can't get any more WOKE than this show without smoking crack.
So very slathered in sjw I almost couldn't watch. Why?
Sure, show me the gay guy, show me the trans them, show me the normal pretty Muslim gal, but show me in the actual ratios that exist is real life.
Why must all these characters be in a single fire house in one show?
Why must each and every show be slathered in sjwbs?
Again, fine if you must, just tone it down some to more nearly reflect real life.
Art is to imitate life, not over OVER exaggerate life.

@Bread&Circuses Damn, I was wanting to watch it but am now rethinking that decision...

They did this with the Charmed reboot, as well, totally killed any desire I had to watch it.

The action isn't as fast paced as the original 911 series, but the story setting fascinating. The main character is a survivor from ground zero (9/11/01).
He rebuilt his firehouse from the ground up. He is offered the chance to do the same in Austin, Texas to a firehouse that had been all but destroyed in a catastrophic fire that killed all but one member. His son goes along with him for a fresh start. In just the pilot episode the characters are developing very quickly. I feel like I know most of them already. I am looking forward to learning more about each story.
