This is really awesome! Great idea. I'm getting ready to start GOT book series but I'm always looking for a good book to read. I've actually taken a few years off from reading and it has been really hard to get back into, my mind seems to wander more than it use too. I'm really looking forward to this addition to the greatest website ever!

@Teeny💋 I was in the same way with reading until a couple of years ago and then I set myself a challenge to read 6 books that year. I managed to reach my objective but then I got too ambitious and went for 8 the following year. Failed miserably. The wandering mind syndrome set in and I would start and not finish. I think I started 10 managed to finish 2.
This time I am going to try and finish 3 before the end of the year and log a report here with one of the titles in the meetings.
Try is the word and there are no guarantees but ... we'll see.

Thank you so much for the copies of the books! Some excellent ones to start out with. I haven't read The Lord of the Flies since high school so maybe I'll start with that one. I too am guilty of not reading much anymore. I used to absolutely devour books. Here's to getting back in the game! 
@rickgrimesrocks Welcome aboard Christi. I have vage memories of reading The Lord of the Flies during a school break and I think that will be my choice as I read TCITR much more recently. I will be looking forward to hearing your views on how the book has changed for you and if it has stood the test of time.
I am hoping to cover most of the "Top 100 books to read ..." in these monthly meetings so there will be plenty to talk/write about.

The Lord of the Flies
I tried, I really did.
For the month of June it was the first thing to appear on my trusty Kindle. I even managed to read 22% but in the end I realised that it wasn't for me.
No swearing, no sex, no drugs and no adult conversations!
This book reflects a long forgotten time for me and the rest of society, I suspect. It used to be a kids adventure story but I doubt the smart phone generation would find it interesting.
I must have grown up - at last!
I need another meeting after that.

@---BOX--- I would say all that extra electricity,power,it takes to run Kindle is bad for the world.--too much power use, guys.My fear of bad appliances is,has/become so bad,I cannot buy a fyyyking modern stove,gas or electric.My dying Hotpoint electric i will use till the heat of oven is dead--or someone can tell me of a REAL STOVE THAT does not crash in trash.all the horrible stories of bad ranges,I'm seriously considering buying a camping stove.;/ ha ha.--oh,and trying to find a wood-burning oven,cause I would run an oven like my grandmother--with wood burning power.
