Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery - user reviews (30)
Excellent take on Elon Musk. An ethics-free billionaire with a grandiose view of himself, stealing ideas from others, risking lives and behaving like an adolescent.
@Gandolfus Sorry Elon was not some salesperson, He is a man of science.
He is one of the most intelligent minds of the world, and He is the only few of them that nailed business world in the process.
Anyone who denied that fact is an idiot.
@kent.girl Right. Just like the genius in the movie. Elon did not invent the electric car, or space travel. He invested in ideas that he did not have. X.com, then Paypal is the only thing he invented, but that is an internet ATM machine. He is a genius of investment and public advertising, just like the billionaire in the movie.
@Gandolfus The man in the movie was not a genius.
He was a weird salesperson PR guy someone met at a bar.
He was more like Elizabeth Holmes of Theranos.
No academic credibility on the resume.
@kent.girl I take it back: the first online payment system was Confinity, brainchild of Max Levchin, Peter Thiel, and Luke Nosek, in 1998.
@Gandolfus Clearly thats all You did.
I smiply went to school.
Certain advanced science or math classes in university are only for specific level of intelligence.
Its not business.
Business is for everyone.
@kent.girl I have a PhD in physics and am currently a university professor in astropartcle physics. So f**k off.
@kent.girl Do you know why there is an 8 pi in Einstein's equations? Do you know why dark photons imply millicharges? Do you know why KAGRA is not performing as well as Virgo?
@Gandolfus ฯ and the number 8 show up in the Einstein field equation within a constant (of proportionality) which we will call K. The field equations can be written as Gฮฑฮณ=KTฮฑฮณ where Gฮฑฮณ is the Einstein tensor and Tฮฑฮณ is the stressโenergy tensor.
Here are some additional definitions. Poisson's equation is generally given by ฮฯ=f where ฮ is the Laplace operator, and f and ฯ are real or complex-valued functions. Poisson's equation is frequently written in terms of the Laplace operator as โ2ฯ=f.
In three-dimensional Cartesian coordinates, it takes the form
(โ2โx2+โ2โy2+โ2โz2)
@Gandolfus Because a real Professor would seek validation in a comment section of a piracy site and pick fights with totally respectful stranger.
Allow me to introduce myself.
I'm Mother Theresa
Goodbye.
@kent.girl And BTW there are search engines that do not track you. Try duckduchgo and be enlightened.
Very good movie. Unique mystery plot. Totally wanna watch the first movie. Compliments. 8/10
I wanna see the first now, got an Agatha Christie vibe
''Sh*theads''
I like Craig in this role
and the variation of actors in this
totally recommend
[SPOILER]
I didnt want this...but i LIKED it
This was a disappointing movie. I thought Knives Out was so well done and enjoyed it thoroughly. The first half of this movie it was all I could do to not turn it off. Hudson's shrieking and horrible laugh were unbearable. The characters were awful save for Craig's and Monae's. In fact she was the reason I stuck with it and boy did she liven things up. Her character was worth watching and I'm glad I stuck it out. Loved the Hugh Grant cameo! Ending was satisfying thankfully.
@Gandolfus I thought there are 8? I think some of it got 'clipped.. oh well I am sure the answer is in Dublin. Actually, my focus has been on accounts by mystics that were shown how our universe /cosmos was created - and they describe it as formed in a black hole - of course, they don't use that term, considering one of them experienced this in the 1500s,, anyways you sound like you have a beautiful mind... be well
I totally enjoyed it and I hope for a third installment. Watching Daniel Craig and Janelle Monรกe bouncing off each other was pure delight.
Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery started so poorly, I could barely hang on, but it finished very well. Doubt I'll ever be so inclined to watch it again. Once was enough.
A murder mystery EPIC.
But the theme is island holiday, so It felt a bit too close to White Lotus.
And I sooo dont get the weird 'zoom' calls scene in the beginning.
A story about a bunch of morally corrupt people of power.
Even people who preach for justice and the greater good, are also practically sh*theads.
Detective Benoit showed that he is not just a masterful observer but also a skilled trickster thats capable of crafting moves and scenarios 10 steps forward to the future.
i liked this much more then the first knives out. do watch the first one just to get an idea of Benoit Blanc but honestly I preferred this sequel more then the first one. writing much better, the incredible cast I felt was given more meat to chew on and all did well. really liked Janelle Monae in this role and my god they is SOOO gorgeous lol and you get used to Daniel Craig's stupid accent, the character is again better written in this movie. not much more I can type, do enjoy!

GLASS ONION (2022)
Director: Rian Johnson
Cast: Daniel Craig, Edward Norton, Janelle Monae, Kate Hudson, Dave Bautista, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr.
8 out of 10.
The follow-up to 2019's Knives Out is slightly better than its predecessor in various respects because of a bigger production, more robust script, and varied cast members. Set in May 2020, during the height of the pandemic, the film takes place on a private Greek island owned by a tech billionaire, Miles Bron (Norton), who invites his friends (Hudson, Bautista, Odom, and Hahn) whom he fondly refers to as the "disruptors" to take part in a murder mystery game. Also on the guest list are Bron's ex-business partner (Monae) and master sleuth, Benoit Blanc. Bron's game only serves as a ploy to a more intricate whodunit involving friendships, hidden agendas, deception, and greed.
The story has a slow start but gains momentum after the first hour when gets more intriguing. The clues, hints, and revelations are deftly peeled like an onion, but only to conclude in a disappointing denouement. It has all juicy ingredients and the end product could have been more solid. However, it still delivers an enjoyable time for deduction including one involving drinking glasses which I noticed and initially found to be inconsistent, but later made sense.
