@fuzzygrub If you don't like it, you don't have to watch it. Typical douchebag Americans. Trying to dictate what people should and shouldn't watch.
@HelloSweetie! typical americans not liking.....pedophilia? ok. you got me. go be as sick as you want to.
@fuzzygrub It's not pedophilia you ignorant ass. Nobody is f*cking children. You're the one that let your mind wander that way. Sounds like you have the problem.
@HelloSweetie! Non american too, from portugal, sorry but you are wrong this movie is terrible, the excuse for the movie in trying to convey a message that child sexualization coming out of deep seated represion and cultural religious stigmas that hold some truth went wayyy too far ,some scnes are just soft core porn for pedos, get a grip lady
@Stonersabbath Don't watch it then!! You have no right to decide what other people should get to watch, period.
@HelloSweetie! I do agree that people should be able to watch what they want. But the line should be drawn with sexualizing children and should be banned.
@HelloSweetie! i think the way they are portraying them is what is thought to be bad. they are very young girls dancing and wearing things that will def appeal to pedophiles. netflix orig didnt use the movie poster but they had them wearing the blue outfits in a very questioning pose. they looked like child strippers. it has nothing to do with the actual content of the movie in terms of what they were trying to show which was this time period, theres a huge over sexualzation of young girls, and how it affects growing up. sadly there are pedophiles that will use this movie for bad reasons.
@Makichan84 any film can be used for "bad reasons," what a piss-poor excuse for censorship.
@lookingforangels1 Not every movie is about sexualising children so young or did I miss something in the avengers movies.
@Peacefulsoul72 movie doesn't sexualize children, it comments on how children are pressured to sexualize themselves and how that's a bad thing. you might've known that if you... ya know... watched it instead of blindly making assumptions.
@lookingforangels1 Definitely watched this pos. No normal person would defend this sad sad movie. Feel free to make more assumptions fool. Definitely sexualises children. Whatever you wanna call it it's awful and harmful
@HelloSweetie! funny how people are calling for this to get ban. have these people been under a rock? people been dancing like this. hell i remembered when i was 10 i went to a birthday party & yes everyone was dancing like that. funny how no one is talking about how she [SPOILER] the way i see it; it's like the movie the hunt. everyone is mad for two months until the world pick something else to get mad at. if your mad at this movie; then sit down & have a talk with your kids about it. if you want to change the world; start at home with the family rules of do's & don'ts.
@HelloSweetie! Not american, german, and this is absolutely normalization of sexualization of children. In our current day and age, stuff is getting cancelled for the most trivial "reasons", but this is supposedly fine. To top off the irony, it's the people usually calling for stuff to be banned who for the most part are defending this abomination. Insanity.
@Gaunti Germany has a bad reputation for child friendly nudist camps to this very day.. Glad you aren't one for the old country ways.
@HelloSweetie! Somehow Cuties premiered on the eve of Gavin Newsom's passing the newly revised law of LEGALIZING PAEDOPHILIA. FUNNY THAT.
@fuzzygrub You didn't watch it. You saw a few pictures, heard a few arguments about this being a pedophile flick and jumped on the bandwagon without doing any research at all. So allow me to clarify; this film is a social commentary against the sexualization of young children. It was directed by a French woman who won the best Director award for this film at Sundance and has taken the story for it from her own childhood. If you feel uncomfortable watching it, you are supposed to. The Director has this to say about it in an interview: "Maïmouna Doucouré did not imagine that her award-winning debut feature film—a coming-of-age tale drawn from her personal experiences—would spark international controversy and calls for a boycott. “For me, this film is sounding an alarm,” the French Senegalese director told TIME, ahead of the worldwide release of Cuties on Netflix on Sept. 9. “This film tries to show that our children should have the time to be children, and we as adults should protect their innocence and keep them innocent as long as possible.”

@Buttless We understand the Board has ultimate control of content, however this particular waste of bits and bytes is suggesting sex with minors. Good Lord, more has been deem inappriate when cockroaches have been shown being killed (Starship Troopers). At least shadow the presentation with a sensitive material warning Admin?
@cholak1 where in the film does it suggest sex with minors? where? have you seen it?
@lookingforangels1 I prefer not to engage this any further. I love the site and have had much happiness here over the years and I would just like to continue to do so. TY for letting me state my opinion.
@Buttless Like not letting people view the CRACKA movie cause a few got overly sensitive.
@rickgrimesrocks It seems to have been totally scrubbed from the internet like a Kim Kardashian sex tape. Cracka used to be on Amazon, but can't find it there either.
Whatever wholesome leitmotif evinced by the Film was entirely obscured by the indecently paedophilic overtones of the unscrupulous and salaciously disgusting hypersexualization of these unwitting little girls. A paedophilic wet dream is Cuties. All pretense of virtue and coming of age (@ age 11?!) is obscured by the soft-core porn choreographed for these prepubescent ingenues. A grotesque Disneyfication of underage sexualization. Pure and evil trash.
We do not normally watch movies about adolescent kids, but with the controversy about this French Netflix film had to check what the fuss was about.
The story is about a girl from an immigrant Muslim family in France, at that awkward age between childhood and teenager. She is growing up in a very different environment to that of her parents and they all struggle with the conflict of cultures. She likes to dance and has a love/hate relationship with other girls at her school who form a dance troupe and mimic what they see on MTV, which is a shock to her conservative mother. But the point of the movie is the difficulty of immigrants in adapting to some of the culture around them, and how young people are influenced by their peers.
There has been a 'ban-Cuties' mob orchestrated on social media to review-bomb movie sites with negative comments about pedophilia, which is difficult to understand. There is no nudity or sexual content, just girls dancing in costumes you can see on TV every day. Compare this movie with others on general release, say David Bailey's work or Halle Berry's early films, and this is tame.

This is the first review iv ever made.
This movie is a pedos dream movie. I watched the whole thing and if you defend this movie you either didn't watch it, a pedo, retarded or there is something wrong with you. There are close up nearly all the time of the little girls butts and other parts. They dance for creepy guard whos way too into it. Nudity of a girl I'm assuming is 18 but knowing this movie probably 15ish.
I don't know how else to describe this movie other than a pedophiles wet dream.
Child pornography is illegal and yet you close down a healthy political discussion? TAKE THIS ADMIN 💢👿😡
cause of all the media hype on this particular Movie, I had to watch it and attempt to verify the media negativity.......damn! I couldn't get through half of the "Movie" without cringing. What parents would allow their daughters to participate in this ridiculous "Movie".
This film has nothing of interest for normal people to watch, what is this world coming to?????
can we get a petition started to have this pos abomination utterly taken off of Netflix and destroyed with a public apology?
@BlueFeather People like you are what's wrong with America today. Let's start a petition, let's boycott, let's protest. How about live and let live instead of trying to bully somebody into doing what you want? How about... "You know, I may not like this but there's probably someone else that does. So I'll choose not to watch it"
Instead you try to be the controlling school yard punk and declare ... "I deem this perverted therefore no one else shall view it" like you rule the world or something. You stir up all your little busybody cronies and set off on your crusade to attempt to force your moral, ethical, theological or whatever other beliefs you have onto everybody. Go crawl back under your rock and leave people alone.
