@max_black WOW!?! Ever tried it? I would definitely like to try it!

@jpadilla1967 No...I'd like to try it though...in someone else's kitchen smiley

@max_black Right? That's what I'm saying . . . smiley smiley smiley

@jpadilla1967 It would only work if the temp in the fats from the turkey got high enough, which is doubtful, unless the turkey is burning. Still, an amusing idea. Probably not tasty, though. lol

@DontSpeak You are correct! I have a friend you is a chef from the culinary arts institute and she stated something similar. But She concluded with a disgusted look on her face and responded, WHY? Still, I'd game to give it a try. . . not to cook it myself but taste it someone else's kitchen like @max_black stated. smiley

By the way. . . Based on your comment, it infers that you know your way around the kitchen. How's about sharing some good Finnish recipes with me?

@jpadilla1967 I attended a cooking institute. It was international, however. I love to cook!

@DontSpeak Believe it or not, I'm actually a very good cook myself. When I was a young kid growing up, I was a very picky eater. Everything always looked good and smelled good, but for me the taste just wasn't there. What I learned later in life, is it wasn't the food, it was how it was prepared. So I went back and visited the dishes I wouldn't touch as a kid, prepared them myself, and found out that I enjoyed them quite fine.

My grandmother was a huge inspiration to me because she never had any fancy herbs and spices. She cooked with salt, pepper, onion and garlic. And she could use the same ingredients in multiple dishes and make them all taste different but most of all, very yummy.

Bottom line, it's not WHAT you cook, it's HOW you cook it that makes the difference.

@fortunate1 Where did you find this? I enjoyed reading it. It's funny how certain things can trigger memories of other things. My mother was a clean freak. I used to tell her that she was addicted to cleaning. I would spray a cleaning rag with a cleaning spray, take it to her and tell her: Smell the rag mom, everything will be okay, just take a deep breath, it's okay, it's okay, there, there . . . there, there. She would get so upset with me and smack me and I would just laugh my ass off. For whatever reason, it would bug the sh*t out of her whenever I did that to her. So naturally, I did it every chance I could.

So when I read the one that says, every time you clean something, you just make something else dirty, I thought about her and those moments. Made me laugh.

@jpadilla1967 Long hot day, but had fun with the kids outside!
Hope you're getting in outside time too!

@Ennui-Inferno No problems in that department: being outside. I work in the office Thursday-Sunday, and on Mon, Tues,& Wed. I'm a builder. So I'm outside all day long from sun up to sunset.

due to illness I don't get to go outside much, so when I do get to be outside, it's enjoyed a lot =)
