Predicted letdown, which I didn't get my hopes to high tbh. It's a shame really, that they haven't done better with this Franchise for the fans. So much potential to make it good. Also I hated this version of the Creeper, Jonathan Breck was defineitly missed!

Jeeper Creepers : Reborn - still born...
It starts off, consistent with the earlier films with Gary Graham, (Det Sisco in Alien Nation, some Star Trek, episodes) and Dee Wallace - a legend in the horror sci-fi genre - like The Howling, Cujo, ET and over a dozen credits in post-production now! Good on her - she's in her 70's! However, it takes a sad turn to the present day.
I am not familiar with any of the actors but I am sure they are household names in someone's household? (perhaps in Finland?) It looks like a low budget early George Romero film made for distribution at drive-in movie theaters. popular in the deep south. Interesting concept - set at a local Cosplay gathering at a carnival - but otherwise a shlock fest. (I on;y got halfway through it and was constantly glancing at my watch...ugh) It has a 3 Day release in theatres and then goes to Blueray on Nov 1

@DontSpeak Finland, USA & UK are listed as the countries connected with the production. I'll have to check the IMDB and find out the Finland connection. It also has Brazilian sign-language - which comes from Finland...

Again, Horror is a rarity in Finland. None of the actors are household names. The very opposite!

@DontSpeak I see. thanks for the clarification. Do you recognize where in Finland some of it was filmed? That's what I like and respect about the work done in Finland - whatever project they take on they always finnish.. Is the film popular in Finland?
@bigsteve I'm sorry, I didn't recognise anything. I'm not sure which forests they used, there are so many here. Horror is not very popular in film here. "Pahanhautoja", which came out this year, was extremely unusual. It would be closer to a more Finnish style. The director of this reboot is Finnish, but he hasn't done very much. I read they plan on this being a trilogy.
@DontSpeak I looked for "Pahanhautoja' - is it good? I would think horror is popular in Finland - a lot of very dark days in the winter...

Clarification. Especially on the behalf of the actors, who probably wouldn't appreciate the mistake, as well as readers, this is necessary and should be addressed.

"Jeepers Creepers: Reborn" is a cash-grab, wanna-hump-hump the creeper legacy. Don't bother with it if you're looking for a Creeper fix. In fact, the only worthy Creeper films are one and two. The third was a Lifetime edit and an attempt to discredit the original director from his film. It worked. Jeepers Creepers mesmerisation and promise of a third instalment were thwarted and the resultant third film wasn't at all Creeper-like. It was a slasher fest fix-it for a public angry and on a warpath. This film has nothing in common with any of them. The acting is repugnant, the screenplay is written by a child and the direction consists of "look scared", "look up", "look down". To sum it up: LOOK AWAY and watch the first two and be scared, be very scared. Watch this one, and be scared that you actually thought you'd find anything of value here for the creature-loving horror-fanatic. MINUS 10. AVOID like the Creeper.

This isn't a continuation, by the way. It's a rebranding and remake, marketed as a continuation of part 2, to get fans of the original to watch it.
Don't do it. It's atrocious.

What's worse than a cheap hollywood remake? [SPOILER] No persons involved with this movie should be allowed anywhere near a camera or script again. Even their footage shot with a drone was shaky and unstable. Every aspect of this film was terrible. Reborn? More like a regurgitated pile of steaming cheap effects and poorly written acting.

So many whys with this movie... mainly, WHY did they not hire a writer that could write an interesting and realistic story and script as well as some character development... Characters are constantly saying stupid things and making stupid choices... for example, at one point they run downstairs to get away from the creeper only to run back up, get attacked and again, run back downstairs. And for some reason a long vacant house has phone service... so much that just does not make sense. Anyhow... this is a horrible movie that is totally predictable and adds nothing new to the creeper cannon. Even die hard creeped fans dislike this bomb!

Didn't care whether this tied in to the others or not just thought i'd watch and im disappointed....no good kills, no real blood, guts or gore...didnt really see him till near the end...boring story...just ugh

I loved the 1st 2 movies, especially the second the 3rd was good enough but this one was a pile of dung and some. The guy who played the Creeper sucked compared to the original and most of the cast was bad so I can't recommend this movie at all. They need to stop making anymore of these movies. Just my opinion of course.

@bigsteve Yes it's in the US but it's not the same actor who played in the 1st 3 movies as the Creeper and I found the story and acting bad. It had nothing compared to the other movies and was no continuation as the other ones were either, it was all by itself.
@bigsteve NO, it is NOT part of the franchise. It is a reboot/relaunch that is billed as a continuation to secure fan following. However, it is nothing of the kind as all of the original direction, writing, actors, and continuity are completely re-done.

@manditoe 1 and the 2nd were 2 diff Creepers, then 2nd was one of the first ones but not the original actor as far as im aware, well that's what IDBM says.
